[2025 Siem Reap Hotels] Travel Guide for Golden Temple Residence (Updated Sep)

All of the shops featured in the photos are within a five-minute walk from the hotel. ✈️Itinerary We visited Siem Reap for three days and two nights. On Day 1, we arrived at Siem Reap Airport and enjoyed exploring the city. On Day 2, we joined a tour to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat early in the morning and also visited temples such as Angkor Thom. The tour ended around 1:00 PM, so we spent the rest of the day at the hotel, getting a massage at the spa, drinking draft beer at a bar in front of the hotel, and getting our nails done for $10. I've heard that Siem Reap is compact and easy to get around, but I received higher-quality service at a lower price than I expected, so I think I could have stayed another night. 🏨Golden Temple Residence ⚫︎It's a five-minute walk to Pub Street, the center of town. The Old Market and Night Market are also within a similar distance. You don't even have to walk that far; just cross the street in front of the hotel and you'll find a plethora of popular restaurants where you can get draft beer for $0.50 and meals for $1. It's convenient, but it's just a little outside the city center, so it's not too noisy. This hotel truly has the best location. ⚫︎The rooms have high ceilings and large windows, creating an open feeling. The welcome drink and fruit service are also excellent. ⚫︎The hotel spa offers discounts exclusively for guests, including discounts for the second night onwards. You can get a hot stone massage for around $20, and the technique is excellent. ⚫︎The staff were truly hospitable, opening the breakfast restaurant a little earlier to accommodate our early morning flight. I spend more than 50 nights overseas each year, but it's been a while since I've stayed in a hotel that I wanted to return to again!

Our stay at Golden Temple Residence was truly amazing! From the warm welcome upon arrival to the luxurious white car that took us back to the airport， every moment felt carefully designed， friendly， and welcoming. Before we arrived， they assisted in arranging a tour guide and driver for our visits to Angkor Wat and the memorial site. Our guide， Lucky， was a wellspring of historical knowledge and eager to share insights into modern culture and her own thoughts with us. On our first touring day， we capped it off with a sunset boat cruise that included drinks and a light meal prepared by the hotel. For our sunrise trip to Angkor Wat， the hotel provided a delicious breakfast to-go box， and we topped it off with an outstanding lunch near a temple prepared by the hotel's chef and served by our friend， Rata， from Golden Temple! When we weren't exploring temples， we indulged in various spa services or relaxed with refreshments by the pool. The July warmth and humidity were taxing， but Golden Temple's services were the perfect cure for resting and recharging. On our last evening， we went to a local circus， with the hotel arranging front-row tickets and round-trip tuk tuk transport for us. We will definitely recommend Golden Temple to all our friends and family， and we hope to return someday!

Our room was on the top floor， away from the main road. Overall， very central yet peaceful. *Comfort & Service: Spacious room with a king bed， pillow menu， and tasteful décor. The staff， from reception to cleaners， were very friendly and professional. Anna was fantastic， and the entire reception team was eager to assist throughout our stay. *Food: A generous breakfast with both buffet and à la carte options included (I hadn't seen this before). We enjoyed the happy hour but didn't try the dinner menu. Service was excellent and personalized. Special thanks to Rin and Ratanak for their consistently warm welcome. *Tours: The hotel organized a 2-day private temple tour with an AC car， and Som， our outstanding guide. His knowledge， storytelling， and well-designed itinerary offered a unique experience while avoiding the crowds. Paul， the driver， was also excellent， greeting us with a smile and cold towels between temple visits. For a premium Angkor Wat experience， this is the way to go! We also took a quick city tour with Mr. Ol， one of the hotel's tuk-tuk drivers. The hotel was also very helpful in arranging other tours (elephant sanctuary， Apopo center). *Overall: Golden Temple Residence met its high rating and delivered comfort， personal attention， and friendly staff for a memorable experience! Absolutely worth it!

#hotelreview Located in the heart of the city, Golden Temple Residence is a 5 star hotel featuring with saltwater swimming pool and waterfall pool attaching to the bar. Personally i will give the hotel a 100% out of 100% as the service is superb and a lots of complimentary services will be provided to the guests: 1. free airport pick up and drop off (drinks including alcohol and cool towel will be offered in the car) 2. free evening cocktail by the pool 3. free 1 hour massage 4. free dinner (not for everyone but we are lucky that hotel staff offered it to us during low occupancy🥰) One of my friend got sick during the stay but the staff was so considerate by offering her a free ginger drink set and asked if she needs their accompany to see a doctor!! Siem Reap is a tourist base city for the Angkor Wat ruins in Cambodia, and there are countless different hotels. The Golden Temple Residence stands out among them. The hotel exterior has the atmosphere of a tropical resort hotel, and the alley leading to the entrance has a hideaway-like atmosphere. The entrance is a complete contrast, with a boldly modern design that incorporates Cambodian elements, and the objet d'art accessories and decorations are Cambodian. The head of the Buddha statue based on the Angkor ruins is surprising, but it harmonizes with the entrance and adds an accent. The welcome drink comes with sweets, and you can eat and drink while checking in and receiving a hotel explanation for about 15 minutes. The guest rooms are in the same tone. The bathroom is spacious and easy to use. The veranda is full of tropical atmosphere. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of items, and also includes large, roughly cut mangoes. The biggest selling point of this hotel is its hospitality. All the staff are polite and friendly, and it's a pleasure to interact with them. They will respond to your various inquiries politely, and you can arrange various things just by being at the hotel. If you arrive on an early morning flight, you can use the set of "early check-in, traditional Cambodian meal set, spa" at a low price. This is a recommended hotel for staying in Siem Reap.
