Attraction Review: A Trio of Antiquity, Culture, and Nature
1. Aswan - The Unfinished Obelisk
If you enjoy archaeological trivia, the Unfinished Obelisk is a must-see. It's one of the engineering marvels of the Pharaonic era. The traces of massive stonework can be seen with the naked eye, and the experience is truly breathtaking!

Opening Hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
2. Cairo - Egyptian Museum
A must-see for anyone entering Egypt. Home to the world's largest collection of artifacts spanning thousands of years, don't miss the Mummy Room and Tutankhamun's treasures. Centrally located, you can also stop by a cafe in downtown Egypt after your visit.
Address: Midan al-Tahrir, Downtown Cairo
Opening Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

3. Edfu - Temple of Horus
One of the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples, the stone statue of Horus at the entrance is striking, and the walls within are richly detailed with stories. Address: Edfo, Adfo, Aswan Province

This temple on the banks of the Nile is the most beautiful in its light and shadow. We recommend visiting during sunset, when the entire temple is bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun, creating a truly captivating atmosphere.

Opening Hours: 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM
5. Nazlet El-Semman - Pyramid of Khufu & Giza Pyramids & Sphinx
The Giza Pyramids are an absolute must-see! Standing before them for the first time will truly captivate you. Mornings are less crowded, offering ample photo opportunities. I highly recommend stopping by the Sphinx as well; it exudes a sense of Arabian mystery!
Address: Al Haram, Nazlet El-Semman

6. El-Boghdady - Nile Cruise
Recommended: Enjoy a drink on the deck at dusk while watching the Nile sunset. The starry sky instantly captures the feeling of ancient Egypt! Local vendors often row along the cruise ship, selling local wares, making it a great place to pick up sweets or souvenirs.
Practical Tips/Reflections
This trip left a lasting impression on me. Egypt truly isn't as desert-like and monotonous as it appears in movies. Every city offers a fusion of past and present. The Nile cruise was incredibly relaxing. I recommend booking at least two nights on the boat, and be sure to soak up the evening breeze on the deck. Wherever you go, most attractions open early, so it's recommended to leave between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM to avoid the heat and crowds. For the pyramids and museums, tickets can be purchased on-site; there's no need to book online in advance. It's recommended to wear quick-drying clothing with sun protection. The Nile River can be windy and cool at night, so bring a light jacket. For Red Sea fishing, find a boat operator and join a group tour. English communication is generally easy.
Transportation Tips: Taxis and Ubers are very convenient in Cairo. Traveling between attractions mostly relies on chartered vehicles or tour groups. It's best to book the boat trip in advance. The meals on board are authentic and safe.
Food Recommendations: Grilled Fish and Stuffed Pigeon are must-trys. Koshary at Abou Tarek is a recommended restaurant in the city.
Tips:
- Pack light, and avoid wearing rubber shoes in the desert.
- Photography at museums and temples is mostly free, but filming within the pyramids requires a ticket.
- Sunglasses and a sun hat are essential for outdoor activities in Egypt.
- Drink plenty of water and carry snacks to prevent low blood sugar levels during your trip.
