#koreatrip "Hallasan National Park, located in the heart of Jeju Island, offers one of the best hiking experiences in Korea. The hike to the summit of Hallasan, Korea’s highest peak, was challenging but incredibly rewarding. The changing landscapes along the way—from dense forests to volcanic rock formations—kept the trek interesting. The highlight was reaching the crater lake at the top, which looked surreal, especially on a clear day. The air was fresh, and the views over Jeju Island were stunning. The trail was well-maintained, but the weather changed quickly, so I recommend dressing in layers. Even if you’re not up for the full hike, there are shorter trails that offer beautiful views. Hallasan is a must-visit for nature lovers and hikers visiting Jeju. Just be sure to start early, as the park enforces entry cut-off times for safety. This was one of my favorite hikes in Korea!"

To have this fantastic experience, you should keep the following in mind. => 1️⃣ The course to the peak of Hallasan starts from Seongpanak and Gwaneumsa. 2️⃣ Beginners should go up to Seongpanak if possible. Gwaneumsa is steep. 3️⃣ Reservations are required for climbing Hallasan. Be sure to make reservations in advance on the official website. 4️⃣ Crampons are a must for winter hiking!! You won't be allowed to enter without them. 5️⃣ Wear several layers of light clothing rather than thick ones. You'll sweat more than you think. 6️⃣ There's a lot more snow than you think. Never leave the trail. 7️⃣ The parking lot at the trail entrance is not spacious. #JanuaryTravelSupportEvent #JejuTravel I climbed Mt. Halla on a nice day in May! I started the Gwaneumsa Trail and started climbing at 5:30 in the morning I walked hard and had breakfast at the Samgakbong Shelter👍 It was a very long fight, but I quickly got to the Samgakbong Shelter!

How to get there: Hotel Sky Park Jeju 1st Branch Shuttle 20230120 Hallasan Mountain Hiking with a big heart I climbed the Gwaneumsa Course at 7 am, but due to bad weather, I could only climb up to the Samgakbong Shelter. I guess it was less difficult than I thought because I was focused on the snowy path! I started going down and only found out after I got down that the peak access control was lifted 20 minutes later, so it was a bit disappointing ㅠㅠ Entry control may be lifted in the middle, so check the website frequently A 6-hour round trip hike with lots of snow to enjoy!
