In the Batak language, Huta Siallagan means the Village of Siallagan Clan. The village was founded by King Siallagan hundreds of years ago. It is renowned for its traditional Batak Toba architecture and its historical significance to the Batak people. The village is famous for its ancient stone chairs and tables used by the Batak kings and for its role as a site of traditional justice and execution. There are a number of traditional Bolon and Sopo houses which are traditional houses of the Batak people. At the center of Huta Siallagan you can see two sets of large stones carved into chairs encircling a stone table.
