How to unlock unbeatable sea view hotels in Hong Kong for under $1000?
As we all know, hotel rooms in Hong Kong are generally small, and the views are often limited. I remember staying at a hotel in Central's residential area before—no breakfast, no view, and it still cost over $1000. Hotels with city views in Tsim Sha Tsui can go for $3000+, and if you want a sea view, the price is even harder to imagine.
This time, I discovered a new spot for Instagram-worthy photos and chose to stay in North Point, a neighborhood that combines urban vibes with local charm, at a Hyatt hotel.
🏨 Accommodation:
We stayed in a 180-degree full sea view room, and the best part was that even the bathtub faced the stunning sea view. During the off-season, you can book a room for under $1000, and for a little extra, you can upgrade to the 180-degree full sea view room. The pool on the 23rd floor is also highly recommended.
🛍️ Shopping:
Right downstairs is the North Point Mall, and within a few hundred meters, you'll find Mannings and Upstairs, offering a hassle-free shopping experience without the tourist crowds. For a local supermarket experience, you can visit YATA downstairs or Wellcome a few hundred meters away.
🍜 Food:
The hotel provides a "Discover North Point" map, which is incredibly useful. It not only marks nearby city walk routes but also thoughtfully includes vouchers for five recommended snack shops, such as Lee Keung Kee Egg Waffles, Yik Sau Tong Herbal Tea, and Auntie's Rice Rolls. It's like having a local expert plan your food itinerary—you just follow the guide and enjoy. The third floor of the Java Road Market houses a cooked food center, similar to Singapore's food courts, offering affordable and delicious meals.
🚌 Transportation:
Downstairs, you'll find the Airport Express A12 bus and the North Point MTR station, making it convenient to go anywhere. We visited the Monster Building, Causeway Bay, and Tsim Sha Tsui using public transportation, and even got to experience air-conditioned double-decker buses and trams while enjoying the scenic views along the way.
