Jiezi Ancient Town | Chengdu
Getting There - To get here you will need to take a taxi from Dujiangyan town. It will take you around 40mins to reach this Ancient Town.
Attractions - Just like any ancient town in China is has lots of local shops and cafes and also has an interesting store where you can dress up and take pictures on this beautiful golden chair for 30rmb. If you just keep walking through the town you will end up at the river and here you can stop at the coffee shop and get a break from the sun then you can continue to the Garden of Luyous Poem where children and adults are playing in the water. There is a restaurant submerged in water too so you can sit there and have a drink while your feet soak in the water.
Hotels - There are a few hotels around the area.
Food & Restaurants - Plenty inside the ancient town. Mostly local cuisine.
Shopping - lots of stores inside for souvenir shopping and clothing stores for those that are interesting in buying local clothing.

Chengdu! A courtyard with a private hot spring!! Worth it for two people.
Not Nara, but Chengdu!!! Just checked out, will go again next time
★About the courtyard
The hotel is located next to Jiezi Ancient Town. The mountain view wooden house has a very Chinese flavor. The courtyard is paved with stone roads, full of texture, and the scenery is beautiful. The stay experience is very good! The hotel with private hot spring is very beautiful, and there are two sika deer to play with
About the room
There are hot springs both indoors and outdoors, and the wild and natural feeling is full! During the day, you can drink tea and read books in the room, or have afternoon tea and picnic on the super large lawn. It is very private and quiet. From the moment you enter the door, every receptionist is very enthusiastic. Both adults and children are super happy

Chongzhou Eating, Drinking, and Playing Super Practical Guide|Special Forces One-Day Tour, Check This Out~
Chongzhou is a place that makes you want to come back again and again!
If I were to recommend a fun, delicious, and great city to visit around Chengdu, it would definitely be Chongzhou.
Not only does it have ancient towns that haven't been commercialized, the filming location of 'Dream of the Red Chamber,' a summer camping lake, but also a 'Little Xizhou' style check-in spot...
📍Chongzhou Special Forces One-Day Tour Route:
Depart from Chengdu at 8 AM ➡️ Yuantong Ancient Town at 10:30 AM ➡️ Jiezi Ancient Town at 12 PM (lunch) ➡️ Yanhuachi at 1 PM ➡️ Baita Lake at 3 PM ➡️ Fantaxi at 5 PM ➡️ Return to Chengdu
🚗Transportation Suggestions:
🚗; About 2.5 hours to Yuantong Ancient Town (search directly on navigation) depart around 8 AM
【Yuantong Ancient Town】: (Pic 4-Pic 6-Pic 9-Pic 13)
Known as the 'Flowing Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival,' it has ancestral halls, churches, courtyards, tea houses, and is the Chengdu version of 'A Place with a Breeze.' It is quaint and has a strong historical atmosphere.
【Jiezi Ancient Town】: (Pic 2-Pic 3-Pic 6-Pic 14)
'The world of fireworks under Mount Qingcheng' refers to Jiezi Ancient Town. It has Ziku Tower, an ancient stage, Ruilong Bridge, and no commercial atmosphere. The prices of things are also very affordable. Cooling off, watching Sichuan opera, playing cards, it's very leisurely~
【Yanhuachi】: (Pic 5) Closes at 5 PM
Built in the Tang Dynasty, it was a filming location for the 1987 version of 'Dream of the Red Chamber.' The scenery is pleasant and not inferior to the gardens of Jiangnan. Each season has its unique beauty~
【Baita Lake】: (Pic 7-Pic 8)
Barbecue, boating, fishing, paddleboarding, not only is the scenery beautiful, but it's also a great place for camping. The emerald green lake water can only be described as peaceful and beautiful~
【Fantaxi】: (Pic 10-Pic 15) The café closes at 5:30 PM
You can always trust the countryside of Chongzhou. The beautiful scenery is endless along the way. It's a popular check-in spot for taking photos, with vast fields of rice giving a 'Little Xizhou' vibe.
👗Outfit Suggestions:
You can bring two sets: morning in the ancient town, new Chinese style; afternoon: you can wear white or bright colors for photos at Fantaxi.
Food Recommendations:
You can casually eat something in the ancient town at noon: Xiaodong Street (food street) Fat Intestine Blood Wang, Zhazha Noodles, Brain Flower Baked Tofu, Crispy Tofu
Evening: Big Sister's Barbecue (expect to queue)
⚠️Little Tips:
Recently, it has been raining frequently around Chengdu, remember to bring an umbrella and mosquito repellent spray. It's recommended to carry a backpack. This trip is quite tiring but also very enjoyable, haha (take a hot shower and have a good sleep when you get home)

Fengqi Mountain in Chongzhou
Chengdu One Mountain a Week | Chongzhou Fengqi Mountain (with strategy)!!! Fengqi Mountain in Chongzhou is located in Gusi Village of Jiezi Ancient Town
The entire scenic area basically won't be exposed to too much sun, and the temperature is very comfortable
Super suitable for outdoor hiking, summer retreat, and family trips to go on weekends
A single complete route to the top of the mountain is about 5km with a total hiking time
of about 2.5h-3h. For those with good physical fitness and without children, the fastest time is still over 1 hour;
A round trip, which means going up and down the mountain, is about 13km, and it takes at least 5h-6h if you walk and play along the way, so remember to plan your trip in advance
The complete route is as follows:
Kangdao Entrance - Ruquan Waterfall - Wugui River - Buddha's Hand Gourd Pergola - Huilong Temple - Xixin Pool - Wanggui Platform - Guangyan Zen Monastery
Almost all are stone steps with a few wooden ladders, the climate in the mountains is quite humid, so there will be moss on the road and some places are a bit slippery, be sure to pay attention to safety when bringing children and the elderly
!!! All hiking routes in Fengqi Mountain do not require a ticket, only Guangyan Zen Monastery charges a 2 yuan cleaning fee upon entry
Little tips:
1. About parking:
There are many parking lots along the way from Jiezi Ancient Town, and the fee is basically 10 yuan per car (occasionally some farmers charge 15 or 20 yuan)
2. About self-driving:
It takes about 1.5h to reach from Chengdu, and you can plan your hiking route and parking according to your own situation. You can choose to park at Jiezi Ancient Town, near Kangdao, or drive directly to the top and park at Fengqi Mountain Scenic Area
3. About public transportation
High-speed train: There are high-speed trains from Chengdu East/West/South to Chongzhou (12
yuan - 22 yuan depending on the station), and after getting off the train, you can take bus 313 to Jiezi Ancient Town, or directly take a taxi to Kangdao
You can also take a bus from Xipu to Qingchengshan Station for about 10 yuan, then transfer to a bus to Jiezi Ancient Town, and then walk to Kangdao
Bus: Chadianzi Bus Station also goes directly to Jiezi Ancient Town
4. Personal suggestion:
If you are not driving, it is recommended to take the regular route directly, climb from Kangdao to Guangyan Zen Monastery, and then descend the mountain according to your physical condition.
If you are exhausted, just take the bus to Kangdao, the bus stops on demand, and the fare is 2 yuan. The bus here is a yellow coach, and if you have the energy, you can choose to continue walking down the mountain.
!!! The last bus down the mountain is at 5:30, don't miss the time
5. Warm tips:
If you have children, remember to bring a small bucket and water gun, there are many small rivers along the way where you can catch fish and crabs;
Also, prepare some mosquito repellent, there are no mosquitoes on the hiking trail but there may be bugs and the like in the small rivers with more trees

Zheng Guangyong's Fried Tofu: A variety of flavors to choose from, with the turnip flavor being especially popular.
Tu Men Zhao Duck: A chain brand, the duck frame is worth a try.
Ancestral Su Yugao: Salty oil cake, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with glutinous rice.
Jiangxin Tofu Pudding: Authentic taste, reasonably priced.

Transportation:
Self-driving: There are several parking lots near the ancient town, and some private parking lots charge a fee.
Bus: Take bus 313 directly, but you need to walk a distance.
Warm Tips:
The tourist flow is larger during holidays, it is recommended to travel at off-peak times.
Commodity prices in the scenic area are higher, it is advisable to purchase accordingly.

Nearby attractions include Kangdao and Guangyan Zen Temple, with the latter requiring a 2 yuan cleaning fee.
The ancient town is close to Qingcheng Mountain, and a day trip can be arranged.

Tour Suggestions:
1. The overall temperature is 5-7 degrees lower than the city area, with stone slab trails that are foot-friendly, suitable for all ages. The road winds through the jungle and bamboo forests, basically not exposed to the sun.
2. The first half is relatively flat with better scenery, where children can play in the water, observe crabs, fish, and tadpoles; the second half is about one kilometer, continuously ascending, which can be a bit tiring.
3. Along the way, there are rest pavilions and food supplies, so you can get replenished when tired or thirsty. You can take a bus down the mountain, 2 yuan per person, which is better than returning the same way, avoiding the need to backtrack.

The Qingcheng Mountains in Chengdu's backyard have already reached the next level | Not Kyoto
For summer retreat, the Qingcheng Mountains are definitely the backyard garden for the people of Chengdu. This is not about the Qingcheng Mountain scenic area, but rather the nearby areas around Qingcheng Mountain where you can play in the water, trace streams, stroll through ancient towns, and enjoy light hiking and leisure.
During the Dragon Boat Festival, we went to play near Jiezi Ancient Town by Qingcheng Mountain again. This time, we really avoided the crowds and enjoyed the peace within the hustle, stealing a day of leisurely happiness. It also satisfied our love for taking photos to record our experiences, wandering through the human world, and not forgetting to hike in the mountains and fields.
DAY1 Wake up naturally and set off, arrive at Jiezi Ancient Town at noon to eat Taiping laozao, and check into a homestay in the afternoon. This homestay feels like it's in a little Kyoto, with a very artistic atmosphere for taking pictures; it's enjoyable to shoot from any angle. Jinzi was also especially happy, becoming good friends with the free-range sika deer and the koi in the pond, having fun all afternoon. In the evening, a walk to Jiezi Ancient Town to eat Wang's beef intestines and experience the ancient town without the crowds was a taste of something different.
DAY2 After breakfast, we went for a walk and played in the water on Kangdao. In the early morning, Fengqi Mountain is not crowded, the air is good, and it's not too sunny, making it a great place for the whole family to exercise. A vision of green starts a beautiful day.

Jiezi Ancient Town - the authentic essence of life in Sichuan
Setting foot on the land of Jiezi Ancient Town is like stepping through an open, ticketless time tunnel. Here, commercialization is no longer the mainstream; instead, a sense of freedom to do as one pleases prevails. Wandering on the ancient, mirror-smooth stone paths, every corner may bring a different surprise, allowing the soul to relax in this tranquility and comfort.
Hidden deep within the alleys of the ancient town, the local delicacies such as crispy radish dry, golden and crunchy corn cakes, and soft and sticky rice cakes, each bite is a tribute to the traditional Sichuan flavor. Sitting in front of the bustling snack stalls, watching the skilled preparation of delicious food by the owners, the fragrant aroma and rising steam create a vivid and lively street scene.
And when the afternoon sun slants into the teahouses of the ancient town, you'll find that this place is not just a paradise for tourists, but also a microcosm of the leisurely life of the locals. In the old teahouses, people sip their covered-bowl tea while playing chess, unfolding scenes of peace and ease, making one long for such a slow-paced life.
Jiezi Ancient Town awaits every traveler's arrival, to find that simplicity and purity lost in the urban hustle and bustle, to experience the real Sichuan.

Jiezi Ancient Town lies at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain
Come to Chengdu, and you'll stumble upon Jiezi Ancient Town beneath Qingcheng Mountain. You'll really want to stop and stay; it's ancient yet serene. The prices for guesthouses are very friendly, and there's an abundance of snacks. The bacon is also surprisingly cheap. As you wander, stop for a bowl of ice jelly, a bowl of brown sugar glutinous rice cake, and enjoy the various spicy and fresh seasonings. There's even a stage for watching traditional operas. If you're interested, you should definitely check it out!

Jiezi Ancient Town in Chongzhou City
Jiezi Ancient Town is known as the 'Water Town of Western Sichuan' and is referred to as the 'Back Garden of Qingcheng'. The town's establishment has a history of over 1000 years, and during the Five Dynasties period, it was called 'Hengqu Town', 'Sijie Town', and 'Yongkang County'. The town area is characterized by the unique agricultural culture of Western Sichuan, the Shuanghe site (also known as Shuanghe Ancient City or Xiaomang City ruins) that dates back about 4000 years, the Buddhist culture represented by the ancient temple Guangyan Zen Monastery from the Jin Dynasty, the Taoist culture represented by the Shangyuan Palace, and the poetry culture represented by Tang Qiu, the 'One-Ladle Poet' from the Tang Dynasty. These elements together construct the unique cultural foundation of Jiezi Ancient Town and the Chongzhou region. The ancient street area currently preserves six streets centered around Jiangcheng Street, with 68,000 square meters of ancient buildings. The houses on both sides of the streets are mainly from the middle and late Qing Dynasty, with water wells from the Ming Dynasty still in existence. The Jiezi Ancient Opera Stage is an important symbolic place for cultural inheritance, featuring a spectacular nine-ridge top hip-and-gable roof, relief stone walls, and stilted building columns, showcasing the excellent architectural culture of the Chinese nation and the profound roots of its folk culture.

Jiezi Ancient Town / Chongzhou's worry-relieving, time-fragrant
Compared to the bustling Lijiang, walking on the cool and comfortable food street of Chongzhou Jiezi Ancient Town, the lingering spicy taste is everywhere.
The basic elements of the ancient town are mostly old-style streets and quadrangles, especially those ancient towns that embrace the mountains and accompany the water, which are places where Chengdu people linger. And Jiezi Ancient Town is one of the best among them.
Jiezi Ancient Town is located at the foot of the northwest mountains of Chongzhou City, adjacent to Dujiangyan in the northeast, facing Qingcheng Back Mountain in the north, and adjacent to Jiulong Ditch in the northwest. Jiezi Ancient Town is one of the most fun attractions locally, the reason why it has the highest play value is because it reflects the regional characteristics of western Sichuan folk customs. Here, it has the unique natural scenery of the southwestern dam junction of Sichuan; here, it has a profound cultural accumulation. The houses on both sides of the street are largely built according to the 'Qing Gongbu Rules', the houses are small in material, simple in style, and inherit the typical architectural style of western Sichuan ancient towns: low tile eaves, wooden doors, and bluestone roads.

Leisurely wandering and taking pictures is a good place ‖ Jiezi Ancient Town
📸The most photogenic in the ancient town: Ziku Tower
'Respect and cherish words and paper, and you will be blessed'
At a glance, Jiezi Ancient Town is full of solid and simple colors
The implication and use of Ziku Tower itself
It adds a sense of historical heaviness
Must take pictures when you come to Jiezi~
🍵Leisure and health preservation: small shops and landscapes in the ancient town
The slightly homogenized shops~ probably a common problem of all ancient towns
But every shop has flowers at the door🌺
It's refreshing
The streets are clean and tidy
It's very suitable to come in summer and autumn
The mountains and waters of Jiezi Ancient Town are mainly for health preservation and relaxation
In the rainy late summer, listening to the rain and tasting tea
It's very useful for relieving the fatigue brought by the fast-paced city life
👋🏻Summary and to be continued
I was a bit rushed when I went, and stayed for one night
I wandered aimlessly
If you set off from Chengdu, you can take the high-speed train from Xipu to Qingcheng Mountain, which is also very convenient~
I personally think it is indeed a high-quality place for health preservation and relaxation~ If you come here specifically for food, it may be a bit insufficient
It's a place you can go in your spare time~

Jiezi Ancient Town, located in Chongzhou, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, is connected to Qingcheng Houshan, under the Fengqi Mountain, 25 kilometers northwest of Chongzhou City. There are 32 temples and other monuments centered on the Guangyan Temple of the Jin Dynasty. The ancient town of Jiezi, named Dongqu Town in the Five Dynasties, was named after the riverside of Weijiang River.
The ancient town has developed water system and rich groundwater. After both sides of the stone road and the front yard of the house, the water is constantly flowing all the year round, so it has the name of Western Water Town. It has the title of Green Garden Back Garden.
The existing building is simple and small, which is a typical object reflecting the style of the southwestern town of the Qing Dynasty.
There are many local features on the roadside, many of which are picked from Qingcheng Mountain and have high medicinal value.
