Cepung Sebali Resort - A Healing Paradise in the Bali Jungle
Earlier this May, I finally spent 3 nights and 4 days at the dreamy Cepung Sebali Resort in Bali! It truly felt like a secret garden hidden deep within the jungle.
🏨 Duplex Deluxe Suite
Upon checking in and entering the room, I couldn’t help but exclaim in awe. The Deluxe Suite features a duplex layout, making it incredibly spacious for the two of us. Both the first and second floors had bedrooms, and the lush jungle view outside the windows was absolutely breathtaking! Waking up to the sound of birds in the morning was such a joy 😭. The air conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring a comfortable stay despite Bali’s hot weather.
🏊♀️ The Charm of the Jungle Infinity Pool
The highlight of this resort is undoubtedly the jungle infinity pool! Swimming here felt like being in the heart of the jungle. Surrounded by vibrant green trees, floating in the pool while gazing at the sky instantly melted away all my stress 🥹. The water was clean and at the perfect temperature. However, since the pool is open to outsiders, it tends to get crowded between 2-4 PM. The best times for taking photos and enjoying the pool peacefully are around 8 AM or after 5 PM at sunset. Don’t forget this tip! 😎
🍳 Breakfast at the Open-Air Restaurant
Breakfast was served at an open-air restaurant with jungle views. They offered a variety of dishes, including Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, and Western-style options. The tropical fruits were especially fresh and sweet! Mangoes, papayas, dragon fruits—fruits that are expensive in Korea—I indulged in them to my heart’s content (I’m not the only one, right? 😂). However, since the restaurant isn’t enclosed, it gets quite hot during the day. Although there were fans, Bali’s intense heat was unavoidable. Still, enjoying breakfast while listening to birdsong was a special experience.
🪳 Uninvited Guests in the Jungle Resort
On the first night, a cockroach appeared in our room, which startled us. But after calling the front desk, a staff member came up within five minutes to take care of it. They apologized and even lit mosquito coils for us. Being in a forest resort, this seemed inevitable, so we decided to embrace it as part of the natural experience. Thankfully, no more big bugs showed up afterward, just the occasional ant. Lucky us, right? 😅
🌾 Nearby Tourist Attractions
The resort is surrounded by famous tourist spots! Tegallalang Rice Terraces are just a 20-minute drive away, and the terraced fields are truly a sight to behold. There are several cafes and pools to choose from, with Cretya Ubud and Tis Cafe being the most popular. Though a bit far, they’re definitely worth visiting. Ubud town is only 30 minutes away, where you can explore Ubud Palace, the traditional market, and even enjoy crispy duck at the famous Bebek Bengil restaurant.
🌺 A Wonderful 3 Nights and 4 Days
Spending 3 nights and 4 days in the jungle was an experience of true relaxation and connection with nature. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking genuine rest. The staff were friendly, and the daily room cleaning was impeccable. However, if you’re sensitive to bugs, make sure to bring mosquito spray or coils. We were so satisfied that we’ve decided to revisit this resort the next time we’re in Bali!
