Under the banner of the Regent/Jinghua sub-brand, I finally had the opportunity to try it for the first time as the epidemic situation has eased. The conclusion is: I did not feel the "stylish travel, meticulous" feeling that the brand claims to the outside world at all, not to mention what they said on their official website about enjoying high-quality services comparable to five-star hotels at affordable prices. I think this experience can be said to be comparable to the price of a five-star hotel but the service is not even as good as that of a three-star hotel.
First of all, I ordered a 12-hour steak package, the total is 1696+600=2296, including lunch but not breakfast. During the epidemic, there are not many hotels with room rates close to 2300. For example, the five-star Courtyard by Marriott has a price of 2022 that does not include breakfast, so I said this is comparable to the price of a five-star hotel.
But the service I received for such a high price was far inferior to that of the first. First, when I checked in, the lady at the hotel counter told me that the room type was upgraded. I entered the room with great expectations, but I was shocked when I opened the door. I ordered a deluxe room with a large bed (152 cm x 188 cm), but the lady at the counter gave me a fine family room with two medium beds (140 cm x 188cm), although the room is relatively large, there are only two of us staying here, and the extra space is of no use to us, not to mention that the family room is configured to put the sink outside and separate the shower and toilet, which is absolutely unacceptable for people who need privacy in the bathroom, and this is also the reason why I excluded the exquisite double room with two small beds when booking the room. In addition, the TV in this room can be said to be a model from ten years ago, with a screen of less than 30 inches, which is too small. I have stayed in a room on the seventh floor before, and the TV there has been upgraded to 55 inches, which is really a world of difference. So after I entered the room, I reported this situation to the counter, but I didn’t expect the attitude of the counter staff to keep emphasizing to me that this is an upgrade, isn’t the room bigger? Moreover, they insisted that the bed size in the two rooms was the same. However, as for the difference between the old and new TVs, they flatly denied that there were rooms with larger TVs. At first, they said that all rooms had this type of TV and even asked me which room I stayed in last time. But I repeatedly stated that there were only two of us staying there and we didn't need too much space. What's more, your so-called upgrade was from one large bed to two medium beds. Not to mention that I booked a "deluxe" room and your so-called "upgrade" was changing it to a "refined" family room, which could basically be said to be a downgrade because your refined room is cheaper than the deluxe room, isn't it? Moreover, if I booked a room through OTA today, or booked a special package without specifying a room type, it would be understandable that the room type was changed. However, I booked a room through your official website today, and this kind of thing happened. Under my strong insistence, the lady at the counter had to say that she would help me negotiate first and asked me to go back to the room first. As a result, I waited for almost an hour before the counter called to inform me that they had negotiated a room for me. I originally planned to check in at 11 o'clock and have lunch at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, and I could have a good rest on their famous bed in the middle. I didn't expect to be tossed around like this. It was almost 12:30 before I officially moved into the room type I booked. In response to this situation, you did not give me any compensation or even assistance. All my luggage was moved to different floors by myself. Even my booking plan was to check out at 12 o'clock the next day, and there was no explanation at all when checking in, so I had to check out in a hurry the next day according to the time indicated on the room card. Afterwards, I found out that I didn't have to squeeze in with others to check out during the peak check-out period.
It really fits your brand spirit of "meticulous and meticulous"
