My friend and I were strolling around New Town Plaza in Sha Tin when hunger struck. We stumbled upon this cafe, said to be run by a French Le Cordon Bleu chef with a Zen-inspired Japanese aesthetic. It sounded classy, so we decided to give it a try! Upon entering, the light wood decor paired with soft Zen lighting created a genuinely chill vibe. Although the tables were a bit small and seating felt cramped, the overall environment was clean and tidy—perfect for those looking for a quiet meal. One minor complaint: the place felt a bit stuffy, and the phone signal was so bad it felt like being cut off from the outside world! 😂 We ordered the two-person set ($498), which started with a crab meat and roe salad and miso soup. The salad was incredibly fresh, with the crab roe offering a delightful crunch—super satisfying with every bite! The mentaiko tamagoyaki was soft and fluffy with a hint of savory flavor, making it a decent appetizer. For mains, we had the U.S. Angus beef moon egg rice bowl and the breaded pork loin white curry udon. The beef was cooked to perfection, and mixing the egg yolk into the rice was heavenly! The white curry udon was the real highlight—the artichoke cream mixed with curry was incredibly creamy, and the pork loin was thickly cut, crispy on the outside, and tender inside. However, the dishes came out so quickly that the small table felt overcrowded, making things a bit chaotic! 😅 Desserts were undoubtedly the star of the show! Then, I took bus A33X to Tuen Mun Town Center and transferred to minibus 43/43S to So Kwun Wat Village to truly begin the hike. 😴😵 There are different routes to explore Thousand Island Lake, and since this was my first time, we chose the beginner route. After getting off the bus, I saw a clear sign for the Thousand Island Lake Clearing Terrace next to the Tin Hau Temple. I followed Section 10 of the MacLehose Trail, going up and down the mountain, including breaks and photo opportunities. I finished in under three hours ✔️ The trail was simple, well-marked, and the inclines were few and far between. It was very refreshing. 🤗 Highly recommend this route for beginners. 👍🏻👍🏻

We booked a discounted balcony room and were assigned a spot on the seventh floor aft, near the elevators for easy access. The middle section is said to be more stable, and aside from a noticeable engine vibration on our first night, it was generally very stable. Housekeeping was excellent, with cleaning at least twice daily. A minor drawback was the room's odor, a mix of dampness and old furniture. The weather in May was perfect, and soaking in the water was the ultimate indulgence. Our second stop was Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas. Honestly, it was a bit boring, so I recommend exploring for no more than an hour before returning to the ship. The only highlight was the Starbucks at the harbor, where we bought a previous-generation City Cup. ☕ 🎭 Fun | Shows + Movies = A Must! The cruise's entertainment standards are incredibly high.
