Here, you can stay in a warm Northeastern kang bed, eat green farmhouse meals, buy local farm products, and even go to the fields to pick fruits and vegetables, or fish around the reservoir. We stopped at an opera courtyard to watch the villagers' Errenzhuan performance, and their self-entertaining and carefree spirit was very healing for us coming from the city. Passing through the village and heading south along the lakeside road, you will soon reach the Tanghe Reservoir, where you can take aerial photos at the Egret Island Viewing Platform. The scenery is like a miniature version of Jiuzhaigou. Online research shows that Wazigou Farmhouse Tourism Scenic Area covers an area of 10 square kilometers, with more than 50 farmhouses. There are few tourists on Monday, perhaps because we chose a peaceful afternoon, the three o'clock sunshine sprinkles across the mountains, accompanied only by the chirping of birds and the babbling of the stream. We exchange smiles, silently thinking to ourselves: this is where our souls belong. Strolling along the mountain paths, with the sound of the stream, our steps feel exceptionally light. The whole journey takes about two hours, and although the mountain roads are rugged, they are not difficult to navigate. The scenery along the way is picturesque and breathtaking, with small waterfalls bringing bursts of coolness, refreshing the mind and spirit. For friends coming from afar, there is a homestay called 'Pear Garden' with an elegant environment and full of character. It is reported that the accommodation costs about 90 yuan per day, including three meals. Another more upscale homestay costs around 300 yuan per day (subject to actual conditions). As a local, I naturally do not need to stay, but if there are friends visiting from other places, this place is definitely worth a visit. I heard that Hekou Valley has distinct seasons, especially in autumn, when the mountains are ablaze with red leaves, surely making one linger and forget to return. The entrance is small but opens up to a unique world inside, filled with ancient trees shading quaint courtyards. The mountain breeze carries stories, and I will definitely visit again, I love it so much. Personally, if time is limited, I believe it's more worthwhile to visit than Guangyou Temple. Qingfeng Temple is located in Mayitun Village, Shoushan Township, Liaoyang County, and is a provincial-level cultural relic. The temple was built in the fifth year of the Longqing era of the Ming Dynasty (1571), and was historically known as 'the first temple beyond Shanhaiguan'. It was renovated during the Qing Dynasty and has been well preserved, making it one of the key ancient buildings in Liaoyang City. Qingfeng Temple covers an area of 3,418 square meters, originally had 34 rooms including a three-story hall, mountain gate, main hall, side halls, monks' quarters, bell and drum towers, steles, and pagoda courtyard. The main hall still retains the Ming Dynasty hip-and-gable architectural structure and was listed as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in 1988. It is one of the most completely preserved Ming Dynasty architectural complexes in the province. The couplet in front of the main gate is made even more famous by the identity of its author, which is none other than Emperor Qianlong: 'A breeze before the mountain stay clears the murky world, by the side of the Azure Cloud Platform, the beacon reflects the lost path'
