Just came back from Vietnam, and it was really great value for money. There weren't many people when we went during the National Day holiday. Round-trip flights were CNY 2,600, and you could stay in a super luxury hotel for CNY 500–600. You could eat your fill for CNY 10+ per person, and CNY 100+ would be a luxury meal. We entered from Ho Chi Minh City and left from Hanoi, traveling from south to north. We spent 9D8N in 6 cities. My itinerary was very tight. If you want to travel in depth, you can skip a few cities.
