There were two main reasons for this. The first was that the USA had already chosen Greenwich as the basis for its own national time zone system. The second was that in the late 19th century, 72% of the world's commerce depended on sea-charts which used Greenwich as the Prime Meridian.

The National Maritime Museum is a maritime museum in Greenwich, London. It is part of Royal Museums Greenwich, a network of museums in the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site. There were plenty of interactive activities for the kids around the museum. Full of historic artifacts. The world map area on the 1st floor was also interesting with the Posideon giving out the Interesting facts about the places. The ship-steering stimulator was also great. Overall a nice day out. The snowy evening made the whole experience even more special. And to top it all off, the view of St. Paul’s Cathedral was amazing. We went to cable car ride on a Saturday evening. Once you get into the ride and the ride will last around 10min and the view is amazing. You can see the aerial view of Thames and other surrounded building and the view is just awesome. You should visit atleast once and enjoy the ride while taking plenty of mesmerising photos. The ticket cost for the ride is around 10 pounds for a round trip and 6 pounds for a 1 way journey. Overall I would say the price is really good for the experience and views. After the ride there is a variety of delicious restaurants and shops in the 02 mall such as Nandos, Jimmy's buffet and there is also a cinema if you want to make the most out of your day. She is a Turkish pop music singer and lots of hit song in her career.👩🏻‍🎤 In Europe, she is best known for winning the #EurovisionSongContest 2003 with her hit song "Every Way That I Can". 💃🏼🎤 Her concert was at indigo at The O2 which is relatively small venue as compared to the main O2. 🏟️ However it has a great atmosphere for a concert. Just because the tickets were the cheapest, we got them from balcony -standing zone.🚶🏼‍♂️🚶🏼‍♂️ But I don't regret about this decision. We had a bar behind us that we could reach drink easily :) 🍻
