The tour I joined got stuck in traffic and our return to the hotel was significantly delayed, but I wanted to eat some Filipino food at the end, so I looked for a place near the hotel and went there! It's in a corner of the entertainment district, so it's hard to find the entrance, so it might be a little scary for a woman alone. The big building was closed and I almost gave up, but when I walked along the road, I found the entrance and the staff guided me. There are many different beers and dishes. However, unless the staff have work to serve, they're all just lounging around, which is a feeling you don't get in Japan. That might be a good thing. The portions are large, so I recommend sharing with a few people. On my last night in Manila, I found some very delicious Filipino food!

When I'm in Malate, I sometimes stop by Nobunaga, which is conveniently located on Mabini Street. The menu is extensive, from chirashi sushi to ramen, so even if you just pop in, you'll probably be pretty satisfied. There's also a big TV with a Japanese channel, so you can kill time. There are also a lot of nice hotels nearby, so it's extremely convenient.
