🏝️4 days 3 nights Krabi trip🏖️ We intended to book a Krabi trip because the flight tickets were very cheap and it was a long holiday. I work in Bangkok, so I already bought a round-trip ticket. But because I already told my mom that I was going to travel... My family is a traveler, so I told her, "Okay, I'll pick you up at Krabi airport!!" This trip, we booked a 2-day tour. The first day's tour went to Railay, a big long-tail boat. The second day was a speedboat to Phi Phi Island, Maya Bay, and Pilea Lagoon. But since my mom, aunt, and my aunt's daughter were also there, we decided to join in the trip. The first day of the trip went well. The second day, my family waved goodbye... because it was the rainy season, the waves were strong. The third day, we drove around the city, went to Ao Nam Sai, ate local southern food. The fourth day, we slept in the city. We relaxed and went back to our family to travel along the way. This trip is a short review. As it is a national park, you cannot stay on the island for that long and they are doing a good job at keeping g it environmentally friendly. My top tip would be to go during the afternoon as there will be less crowds. Once you are at the beach, you can find small shops and information signs about the beach itself. Along the way to Maya Bay, there is a boardwalk to protect the natural environment and information about the flora and fauna that exist in that area which is interesting to read

The local government doesn't allow tourists to swim in this beach anymore to help preserve it. Maya Bay was closed from 2018 to 2022 to help the beach ecosystem recover from the damage caught by tourism. It has recently reopened so visitors have to follow the rules to protect the marine life. Maya Bay can only be visited from 10:00 to 16:00, and visitors must adhere to the one-hour time limit. #bangkoktrip

Even the beach was pretty crowded at the time we still got to take solo pictures with no people there. It is really beautiful, it is really hot and you can’t drink on the beach. It is well known from the DiCaprio movie. The people are really strict there and you can’t enter in the water more then your knees. But definitely worth seeing it. It was part of our round trip to Phi Phi so definitely recommend going here 10/10.

Koh Phi Phi📍 We day-tripped from Koh Lanta to the Phi Phi Islands to explore the top tourist spots. Maya Bay was our first stop & we had heard lots of negativity about it not meeting expectations. So our expectations were pretty low. Yes, there were crowds upon crowds of tourists. And yes, the toilets made me heave multiple times. However, the beach truly is beautiful. And the sand is so white and so so soft. Next, we went to Viking Bay - I found it interesting that this is where they harvest bird nests to make traditional Chinese soup?! How random. We snorkelled nearby & I’ve never snorkelled before. For my first experience, it surely was a frightening one😂 Firstly, I couldn’t get my snorkel to work. Constant mouthfuls of water & waves hitting me in the face. Finally, when I could breath & actually see what was beneath me, I instantly regretted it. Two Blacktip Reef Sharks in the water below. I have Ellie telling me that there were trigger fish in the water (not nice fish) & also saying that there was a barracuda (it was not, in fact, a barracuda). So, the entire time, I was freaking out :) After the second shark sighting, it was a fast swim back to the boat. We then headed to the main part of Phi Phi, Phi Phi Don, to have some lunch and look around shops- there was a lovely Burger King & McDonald’s facing eachother👯‍♀️ Finally, we went to Bamboo Island where we swam in the crystal clear water & had the absolute best time. I think Bamboo Island has the best water we’ve ever swam in. If you have a chance to visit Krabi or Phuket, do check out Maya Bay, a part of Phi Phi island by boat. It is easily accessible and you can take nice shoots with the clear, green waters as backdrop.
