In the summer, it's common to wait 4 hours! It's super popular, to the point where you have to line up first thing in the morning to get a seat, but there are cases where you can go without lining up on weekdays in winter ✨ I was able to go without lining up! The reason why it's so popular is because the pricing is insane 😍 That's why, once you eat here, you won't be able to eat seafood anywhere else 🙅 However, if you want to eat a seafood bowl with a variety of ingredients on it, I recommend Minato Shokudo over Marutoma! Minato Shokudo has a larger portion, so it will look better in photos📸 I don't really want to tell you, but if you want to eat a seafood bowl in Sapporo, it's not the one at Nijo Market, but the one at "Sapporo Wholesale Market"🐟 If you've eaten at Nijo Market, you'll look really stupid if you go here lol There are several hotels that provide transportation, so if you keep that in mind, there's no problem! Located about a 5-minute walk from Sapporo TV Tower, this historic market is easily accessible and offers everything from fresh fish to vegetables, fruits, and souvenirs. Many people come here for breakfast, as there are many restaurants lined up. Some places also offer tastings, so take a look around. Address: Minami 3-jo Higashi 1-chome to Higashi 2-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo City. Access: 5-minute walk from Odori Subway Station. Business hours: 7:00-18:00. Cost: Free admission. Recommended: Restaurants open at 7:00 a.m., so eat before you go. [② Seafood Restaurant Uoya no Daidokoro] A restaurant located in Nijo Market that mainly serves seafood bowls. It is located directly across the street from the most popular restaurant in Nijo Market, "Nijo Market Oiso." If you're wondering why this restaurant is here and not the most popular restaurant, I'll be honest. Oiso has a huge line before it opens and they have a ticket system, but I personally think that Uoya no Daidokoro is better than Oiso and you don't have to line up as much as you do in Oiso! Personally, I don't think it has to be Oiso! The seafood bowl in the photo costs 3,000 yen. Address: Minami 2-jo Higashi 2-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido. Access: 6 minutes on foot from Odori Subway Station. Opening hours: 7:30 - 21:00 (sometimes open from 7:00). Cost: 4,000 yen. Recommendations: The Omakase Seafood Bowl (above) and Grilled Atka Mackerel are the best. ⚠ Caution: This can be said of all the stores in the market, but the bowls are smaller than you might think. [③ Sapporo Clock Tower] It is no exaggeration to say that this is the landmark of Sapporo. If you take a photo here, it will be clear that you have arrived in Sapporo! There is also a photo stand, so you can take photos even if there is no one around to take them for you. 😮💨・Address: Kita 1-jo Nishi 2-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo・Access: From JR Sapporo Station, take the underground pedestrian space towards Odori for about 10 minutes, exit 9. I recommend the chicken curry topped with deep-fried broccoli. 🍗🥦 The chicken is simmered until it is so tender that it can be torn apart with a spoon, and it's the most delicious thing ever! The amount of vegetables is also that much, so you'll be very satisfied! Mount Moiwa is 531 meters above sea level and was called "Inkarshipe" in Ainu, which means "a place to keep watch." Matsuura Takeshiro, an explorer from the end of the Edo period, wrote that it was "a lookout mountain for the Ainu and a sacred mountain." Sapporo's night view is so beautiful that it is considered one of the top three night views in Japan. There is no better observatory to enjoy the Sapporo night view. I had long wanted to explore Mount Moiwa Rope way or even Sapporo as a destination. Thanks to a fantastic last minute airline deal we were able to make a weekend trip. Once you’re at the viewing deck at the top you’ll agree that claim is not an exaggeration. To get to the viewing deck, you need to ride the ropeway and cable car that both run every 15 minutes. At the transit of these two, you can do some souvenir shopping. There’s also a hiking trail if you prefer to traverse the forest. Other activities at the viewing deck include (1) buying a love lock and locking it on the rails surrounding the bell, (2) ringing the bell and making a wish, and (3) using a telescope to spot and get an up-close look of famous buildings in the city. #favouriteairline #sapporo #weekendtrip
