Nancuiping Park, Tianjin | An urban oasis, a fusion of nature and culture.
Nancuiping Park is a unique natural landscape park in Nankai District, Tianjin. It is located in the southwest of the city, at the intersection of Hongqi South Road and Binshui West Road. The park covers an area of about 335,000 square meters, of which the mountain covers an area of 121,000 square meters, the water body around the mountain covers an area of about 85,000 square meters, and the main peak of the mountain is 52 meters high. The mountain landscape of the park is all made of construction waste, turning waste into treasure, which fully reflects the environmental protection function.
Nancuiping Park was formerly a construction waste landfill in Tianjin. In 1986, the construction plan of the mountain landscape project was determined. By the end of 2006, the park had initially formed the overall pattern of mountains, roads, water, and greenery. The name of the park, "Nancuiping," means a green barrier in the south of Tianjin, corresponding to Cuiping Mountain in Jizhou District.
The park consists of two parts: the mountain and the lake. The mountain part has three scenic spots: "Cuiping Lansheng," "Manwu Huaxi," and "Qiancao Manbu." The lake area has three scenic spots: "Jinghu Yingcui," "Bihe Shixiang," and "Qushui Xiaoyue." On the north side of the mountain, there is a reserved slide with an area of 13,000 square meters, a length of 260 meters, and a slope of 30°, for tourists to ski in winter and grass skiing in summer. It can accommodate 700 people at the same time and has become one of the most distinctive places in the park.
Nancuiping Park is not only a good place for citizens to relax and entertain but also a green treasure in the city, providing a variety of activity facilities such as fitness, walking, and parent-child activities. It also has a plastic track and a mountain road, and even many newlyweds choose to take wedding photos here. In summer, you can go boating and sightseeing, and in winter, you can ski. The park has a paid ski resort with beginner and intermediate slides. The park is open all day, and admission is free.
