Liyang Nanshan Bamboo Sea Family Trip | A Two-Day Slow Travel Experience
| A Two-Day Slow Travel Experience. Depart from Beijing South Station and arrive at Liyang Station in just four and a half hours by high-speed train. Our family of three's destination for this short holiday is Nanshan Bamboo Sea, hidden at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui provinces—a secret realm surrounded by tens of thousands of acres of green bamboo.
Day 1: Arrival & First Hot Spring Experience
🚄 Transportation: Beijing South Station → Liyang Station (High-speed train approx. 4.5 hours)
Depart from Beijing in the morning and arrive at Liyang Station at noon. Take a taxi for about 40 minutes to reach Anyun Yuenanshan Hot Spring Resort Hotel.
🏨 Check In & First Impression
As soon as we entered the hotel, we were infected by the warm smiles of the staff at the front desk. We also received a welcome gift when we checked in—Nanshan white tea and handmade bamboo bookmarks. The children received an exclusive children's toiletries bag, which made them very happy.
We booked a family suite. The room was spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the continuous bamboo forest, offering an excellent view. There was also a handwritten card on the bedside table, full of details, giving people an instant feeling of being at home.
♨️ Afternoon Time: Hot Spring & Hotel Exploration
After a short rest, we went straight to the hotel's outdoor hot spring. There were three small pools, not crowded, with mist swirling around and bamboo shadows swaying in the distance, creating a full atmosphere. The children played in the shallow pool, while we leaned against the edge of the pool, enjoying a rare moment of relaxation.
After soaking in the hot spring, we took the children to the swimming pool for a swim. The water quality was very clean, and the lifeguards paid attention throughout the process, providing a full sense of security. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant in the evening. We recommend the Tianmu Lake fish head soup, which was fresh, fragrant, and rich. The children drank two bowls in a row!

Day 2: Nanshan Bamboo Sea Adventure & Panda Journey
🎋 Nanshan Bamboo Sea Scenic Area (20 minutes walk / 5 minutes by taxi)
After breakfast, we went straight to Nanshan Bamboo Sea **(Ticket price: CNY90/person, half price for children). It is recommended to buy a package including the ground cable car, which saves effort and allows you to see the full view!
🚣♂️ Jinghu Bamboo Raft & Bird Paradise
As soon as we entered the scenic area, we were attracted by the clear waters of Jinghu Lake. We rented a bamboo raft and floated on the lake. The children excitedly pointed to the small fish in the water. There was a parrot show at "Bird Paradise" on the shore, which the children watched with rapt attention.
🚞 Ground Cable Car & Panda House
We took the ground cable car up the mountain. Outside the window was a sea of bamboo, with green waves rolling, as beautiful as a painting. After arriving at Jiming Village, we went straight to the **Panda House. The two giant pandas were adorable, and the children kept exclaiming "Wow!" throughout the entire visit.
🎋 Bamboo Culture Park & Longevity Star Square
We walked down the mountain and visited the Bamboo Culture Park along the way, where we experienced simple bamboo weaving handicrafts. Finally, we checked in at Longevity Star Square. The 12.8-meter-high Longevity Star statue was kind and amiable. The stone monkey sculpture next to it also gave the children a small lesson on "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil."
During this trip, the natural scenery of Nanshan Bamboo Sea was intoxicating, and the thoughtful service of Anyun Yuenanshan made the whole trip comfortable and worry-free. Two days was just right, and we look forward to seeing you again next time! 🌿✨
