Park Street Vibes✨
Exploring the vibrant city of Kolkata comes alive when you’re staying at two perfectly located hotels — Hotel VIP International on Mirza Galib Street and Walson beside New Market. Both places put you right in the heart of the city’s famous street life, traditional eateries, and colonial charm, making it super easy to soak up the local culture. 🍲🚶
Hotel VIP International is just a stroll away from Park Street’s legendary food spots and nightlife. Hotel Walson, directly beside New Market, is a winner for clean, comfortable rooms and easy access to Kolkata’s best shopping. Step outside to bargain for local goods or grab delicious street snacks like puchka and kathi rolls just around the corner! The area is safe, lively and packed with classic photo ops — try the market’s colonial architecture for epic backgrounds.
If you need an airport hotel, FabHotel Suncitel (184/1 Jessore Road, Sarat Colony) is a budget-smart pick. Guests love its location near Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport and value for money. The friendly staff make arrivals and departures hassle-free. Just note that room cleanliness gets mixed reviews — bring a travel towel just in case, and request a quiet room for better sleep.

The Andaman Islands, located in the Bay of Bengal, are India’s tropical paradise. Known for their crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and coral reefs, the islands are perfect for those seeking relaxation and adventure.

Echoes of Freedom: Cellular Jail, Port Blair
#favouriteitinerary
A visit to the Cellular Jail in Port Blair is both humbling and deeply moving. This historic monument, once a colonial-era prison, stands as a stark reminder of India’s struggle for independence. Walking through its dark corridors and cells evokes a somber connection to the sacrifices of freedom fighters. The Light and Sound Show brings history to life, leaving an indelible impression. Cellular Jail is not just a place, but a profound journey into the resilience of the human spirit.

Havelock from KL
📍 KUL - Port Blair ( Air Asia ✈️)
Port Blair - Havelock ( Nautica ⛴)
2 nights 🤿 with Dive India and staying Green Imperial 🏨 Beach No. 5
2 nights 🏖 at Barefoot Havelock 🏨 Rhandnagar beach
Havelock - Port Blair ( Makruzz ⛴)
1 night Seashell Resort 🏨 Port Blair
Port Blair - KUL flight✈️
💡 All structures and furniture on Havelock are set back behind the treeline. So no cafes or loungers on the beach. If you want to lay by the water with lunch / drink book resort with a pool and bar. The beach can be rocky down the West side.
🍲🍔 Food at Something Different, Full Moon and Swimming Elephant on barefoot were great. In all cases portions were huge! Something Different had pick up and drop off and most lively vibes of all three. Full Moon had the closest thing to a sea view and the best food ( but mosquitoes at night). Swimming Elephant is high end hotel food but friendly service and great drinks.
💡 The island is early! sunset and rise keep Thai / MY times with an India clock. So diving started earlier at 5.30 and things were very quiet by 8/9pm ⏰
⚠ Sand flies on Rahadnagar beach were rough and bites stick around. Seems like they mostly affect women but worth taking antihistamine cream and pills in case.
