Nodulnaru Park
This stop is Nodeul Nodeul Station. Nodeul Station is located between Noryangjin and Heukseok-dong in Dongjak-gu, Seoul. The origin of the name Nodeul means an area densely covered with reed fields. It also appears in the name of Hanyang during the Joseon Dynasty, meaning that this area used to be a place where reed fields were harmonized.
During the Joseon Dynasty, Noryangjin stored the Joseon navy, military supplies, and military supplies, and there was a thriving village in the Noryangjin area. As a result, the Noryangjin area prospered, and Nodeul Station also had Nodeulnaru to transport people and supplies.
The entire area of Nodeulnaru has now been transformed into a park, and has become a resting place for citizens.

Soccer field, playground, foot volleyball court, performance hall, etc.
Nodeulnaru Park is not a large park like Olympic Park, Yongsan Park, or Namsan Park, but it is well-organized. First of all, there are basic facilities such as a soccer field, foot volleyball court, playground, and performance hall, which can be used after prior consultation or reservation.
And nearby is Sayuksin Park, which, as its name suggests, is a park that commemorates the six loyal ministers of the Joseon Dynasty. Sayuksin refers to the ministers who tried to prevent the dethronement of King Danjong, and it was built to commemorate their loyalty and courage.
Also, if you walk straight from the main gate of Nodeulnaru Park, you will come across a large circular plaza, which is the Han River Defense Line Battle Monument. The sculpture in the first photo is the Hangang Defense Line Battle Monument, which was built to commemorate the fierce battles that took place near the Hangang River in the early days of the Korean War to block the invasion of Seoul. On the third day of the Korean War, a defense line was built in Noryangjin, Yeouido, Heukseok, Nodeul, and Gimpo, south of the Hangang River, to block the enemy forces that were pouring in like a tidal wave. At that time, Yeouido and Gimpo had airfields, so they were strategically important points, and if the enemy forces crossed the Hangang River, they would lose Seoul, so fierce battles continued along the Hangang River for about 7 to 10 days. However, they ended up crossing south of the Hangang River, and as they retreated, they formed a new front line at the Nakdong River, which is the Nakdong River Front. Scholars evaluate this Hangang Defense Line Battle as a battle that bought time. It was because they were able to solidify the front line in Seoul, which gave them enough time, and through this, they were able to effectively build a defense line in the Gyeongsang Province area.
