Punta Cana is located in the Dominican Republic. We took a taxi from the international airport to Punta Cana which took approximately 45 minutes. As my driver was describing Punta Cana is named by the Cana( which apparently means Palm) and Punta (which means the top of something like the “top of the finger or the mountain”). Driving here can be kind different, we didn’t see many stores but mostly a lot of green areas. People here tend to travel by scooter due to the high cost of cars and diesel. The beaches are absolutely gorgeous, but we were suggested to come back during Sep-Jan months to have a better understanding on how clean and limpid the beach would be. Visited the hotel recently and found that it was a trip that had everything. This is a trip that is a beautiful hotel with the most friendliest staff. The rooms were beautiful and we opted for a swim up room which was well worth it. The buffet was great for breakfast and dinner and the other restaurants were absolutely beautiful, with our favourite being a mix between the Teppanyaki and the Italian. The weather was gorgeous and the stay was my favourite holiday I've had.

DINNER IN THE SKY Address - Calle principal Downtown, Punta Cana 23000 Highlights - Really cute and not your normal dinner date. you literally have dinner in the sky. Super fun team with good music. Only downfall is they didn’t actually cook in front of you just plated the food. This is right next to coco bongo so you can go for a cute dinner night and hit the club life right after! (which is what we did) Rating - 9/10 3. MONKEYLAND Address - 6980833, -68.67011111111111, Higüey Highlights - You get to hang out with monkeys!! it’s a little scary at first but honestly it was our favorite excursion there. the experience itself was so much fun and they also do transportation & the pictures they take are really good quality & a good price. Rating - 10/10 The DR has the perfect mix of the fun, chill, & romantic excursions. I would recommend it to anybody.

The Dominican Republic is exciting and beautiful. With its amazing nature and endless beaches, one really has the feeling of being in paradise. The locals there are very kind and friendly. I highly recommend Hotel Iberostar Dominicana. The food is excellent with a great variety, the staff is very responsive, they have an entertainment program every day. I unlocked a super niche treasure travel destination in the Dominican Republic - Punta Cana, it is so beautiful that I am speechless, and I don’t allow myself to know it! Follow my footsteps and start this dream journey. 4 days and 3 nights itinerary Day 1: Arrive at Punta Cana International Airport in the morning, make an appointment for airport pick-up service in advance and go to the hotel to check in. The hotel is near Bavaro Beach, very convenient. After a short break, walk to Bavaro Beach. The white sand beach and clear water are like a dream. It is recommended to spend 3-4 hours here to see the beautiful sunset. Day 2: Rent a car and drive to Sivao Valley. In the morning, enjoy the idyllic scenery of the valley and experience the local farming culture for 2-3 hours. In the afternoon, we went to the Igüey River to participate in rafting activities. The whole journey took about 2 hours. It was exciting and fun to travel through the tropical rainforest. Day 3: I signed up for a one-day tour to the Samana Peninsula. In the morning, we went out to sea to watch whales by boat (the whale watching season is from January to March). It was super shocking. The 2-3 hour whale watching trip was eye-opening. In the afternoon, go to El Port Beach to relax, with fine sand and clear water, and play for 2-3 hours. Day 4: Sleep in, enjoy the leisure time in the hotel, pack up at noon and return. Attractions Highlights Bavaro Beach: The sand is as fine as flour, and the sea water is a layered blue-green color. When you step in the water, you feel that all your worries are washed away, and every shot you take is a blockbuster. Igüey River Rafting: Floating down the river in the dense tropical rainforest, with all kinds of rare plants on both sides and monkeys jumping on the trees from time to time, the experience is maximized. Food Recommendations I highly recommend "La Yola", which is right next to Bavaro Beach. Their seafood rice is amazing, full of seafood flavor. The rice absorbs the seafood broth, and it is super satisfying to take a bite. The seafood is fresh and chewy. You must try it! There are also grilled pork chops, which are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the fragrance is intoxicating. If you want to drink freshly squeezed juice, you can go to "Fruteria Tropical", which is located in the city center.
