Hong Kong | An Inflatable Boat, A Small Island, A Day.
If you have an inflatable boat, you can explore many different islands on the sea. 🏝️
If you don’t have an inflatable boat, you can rent a kayak 🛶 or a stand-up paddleboard to explore the islands. 🏝️
The ocean is one of nature’s most precious gifts to humanity, nurturing countless marine creatures 🐟🪼.
On the sea, you can experience ever-changing weather, watch fish jumping around, and occasionally encounter jellyfish 🪼 (on the way to Pak Sha Chau). Onshore, you can keep company with crabs 🦀 (on the small island of Yeung Chau).
(Of course, these little creatures are for observation only and should not be caught or played with.)
🏝️🏝️🏝️
This time, we paddled to two small islands: Yeung Chau and Pak Sha Chau.
🏝️🏝️🏝️
Yeung Chau is a small undeveloped island near Sai Kung’s Sha Ha. There are no ferries to the island, and it is home to animals like the black-headed gull. From Sai Kung’s Sha Ha Bay, it takes only 20–30 minutes to paddle to Yeung Chau.
🏝️🏝️🏝️
Pak Sha Chau has a naturally formed beach with a diameter of 200 meters and no facilities on the island. From the Ngong Ping Plateau, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the beach’s beauty. Although the sand on Pak Sha Chau looks white from afar, it’s not very fine and contains small shells 🐚. Wearing beach shoes is recommended to avoid injuring your feet.
Paddling from Sai Kung takes about 1–1.5 hours.
To reach Pak Sha Chau, you can start from two directions:
1. From Sai Kung’s Sha Ha, passing by Yeung Chau before heading to Pak Sha Chau. 🛶 If departing from Sai Kung, be cautious of the waves caused by passing boats after Yeung Chau. It’s best to avoid peak boat traffic times.
2. Paddle in the opposite direction from Kiu Tsui Island. This route is much faster and relatively safer, taking only about 30 minutes.
🏝️🏝️🏝️
The islands are sparsely populated, allowing you to quietly enjoy the sun and beach without worldly distractions. 🙈

Baishazhou 🚣🏽♀️ Open for dinner|Sai Kung's nearest clear and beautiful island 💙🩵
Sai Kung is a popular place to play in the water. This time, I went to the nearest island with clear water - Bai Sha Chau with my friends to sunbathe😎 and cook food🏝️ to spend a leisurely Sunday.
We set off under the sand, rented a single canoe 🛶 and an upright board, together to row towards the island 😆.
Baishazhou is a rest stop/target island for many people playing canoeing. The island is a sandbar, spacious, a good place for taking pictures📸️, aerial photography looks even more beautiful from a high altitude✨
We looked at the beautiful sea, while preparing to cook food. Today is very hot and sunny ☀️, to drink water to prevent heat stroke 🥵, the food is not cooked so 🤪.
The menu is very rich 🥰, there are pre-made anesthetic eggs 🥚, bring homemade plum wine, not cooked to enjoy first ~ then toast hot pizza with butter cooked mussels, and kimchi squid spicy fried pork slices two people eat to hold the stomach 😋😋😋😋😋 time to return ~
