Lugu Lake has returned, and here is a guide to the lake
Lugu Lake is truly a haunting place! The lake is blue and the sky is clear. Time slows down here.
🚗Transportation Guide
You can take a special bus from Lijiang to Lugu Lake, the journey takes about 3 hours, and tickets can be booked online in advance. You can also take a bus from Lijiang Bus Station, which takes 4-5 hours. You can buy tickets in advance on the official website of the bus station or a third-party platform.
We drove from Lijiang and took the Lining Highway instead of the highway. When the weather is clear, the Lining Eighteen Bends is relatively easy to drive. You can see the Jinsha River along the way.
🚙 It is recommended to rent a car to go around the lake. You can stop at any time to enjoy the scenery. If you want convenience, you can choose the bus around the lake, which costs 50-80 yuan per person, but the stops are fixed.
In the morning, take a pig trough boat to tour the lake: arrive at the dock around 7:40. If you come before April, remember to buy a bag of bread to feed the seagulls and feel the gentleness of the lake water up close. I asked several docks, and they all charged 200 for boat release. Dropping off the boat was too expensive so I didn't choose that. Finally I chose Pluo and bargained down the price to 220. But unfortunately, the sky was sunny that day, but it was covered with dark clouds an hour before sunrise, and it cleared up as soon as I got ashore. So I didn't see the sunrise. I'm sorry.
Go back to the hotel for breakfast and start the tour around the lake
📍Lige Peninsula: The most beautiful spot of Lugu Lake. Take a walk along the peninsula, where the lake bay and the mountains complement each other. Any photo you take will be a blockbuster!
📍Da Luoshui Village: Developed early and with complete facilities. Sitting by the lake in the evening, watching the afterglow of the sunset on the lake, the rippling water is so beautiful that it leaves you speechless.
📍Goddess Gemu Mountain: Take the cable car up the mountain and you can see the entire Lugu Lake. The scenery is super stunning. There are also mysterious caves on the mountain to explore.
📍Sea of Grass: It is emerald green in spring and summer, golden in autumn and winter, and the Marriage Bridge spans across it, which is very atmospheric for taking photos.
🍲Taste Lugu Lake Steam Stone Pot Fish
When you come to Lugu Lake, you must try the steamed stone pot fish! I chose "Taste Lugu Lake" and ordered the claw fish 🐟 The stone pot is heated evenly to retain the freshness of the fish to the greatest extent. The waiter puts the fish, delicious mushrooms and vegetables into the stone pot, then pours in the secret soup base and covers the pot with a straw hat lid. After steaming, the aroma hits your nose instantly as soon as you open the lid. The fish meat is tender and smooth, melts in your mouth, and the fish soup is amazingly rich!
It is so picturesque to enjoy the scenery of Lugu Lake while tasting delicious food!
