In 1860, Emperor Tongshi gifted a Leshan bridge, the decorative art fast eroding with time while the bridge still stands . But ... the weir is the most intriguing . How many centuries has it serve the town to control flood & divert water to livable areas.There used to have a signboard saying water was diverted to agricultural areas .Would be fantastic to have local tourguides enlighten all tourists on the purpose & manner of engineering by this weir .
