Bonus points: you’re right next to Altea’s old town, so if you feel like trading flip-flops for cobblestones, it’s an easy hop up to whitewashed streets and arty vibes. Whether you're walking off a big lunch, chasing sunset colors, or just soaking up the salt air, Playa La Roda is a lowkey gem. Zero stress, full recharge.

#summervacay Punta del Mascarat in Altea is one of those places that kinda sneaks up on you with how gorgeous it is. You’re just driving along, minding your business, then jaw-dropping cliffs, turquoise water, and secret little coves you wish you’d known about sooner. It’s tucked between Altea and Calpe, and honestly feels like a hidden gem even though it’s not that hidden. The views from the top are next-level. You’ve got the Mascarat gorge on one side and the Med sparkling like crazy on the other. Great for a casual hike, a mini photoshoot, or just sitting around pretending you’re in a music video. There are quiet little spots to swim, snorkel, or just zone out. It's peaceful, breezy, and feels way less touristy than nearby beaches. If you’re into cliff vibes, salty air, and epic views without the crowds, this spot is calling your name. Bring snacks, wear comfy shoes, and just soak it all in. Mascarat’s a mood.

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region) The Church Square is located at the top of the old town of Altea, right next to the current viewpoint, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and handicrafts. It is a must-visit place in Altea to explore and buy some souvenirs. In this beautiful Virgen del Consuelo parish church, the huge central dome is very striking, covered with blue and white glazed curved tiles.

Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Alicante (Region) The town of Altea sits on top of a hill, with the highest point above sea level being the bell tower of the Parish Church of Our Lady of Consuelo, with its wide dome covered in blue and white tiles and a second dome with a smaller dome on top. From the square in front of the church we could see the whole area. From here, a number of steep cobbled streets begin to descend towards the sea, many of which have steps or are lined with small viewing platforms and pavilions. Typical white houses mark the road, which was formerly protected by solid walls. Artists' workshops and studios, as well as craft shops, can often be found in this traditional urban space. In the lower part of the town we find King Jaime I’s commercial street, the fishermen’s quarter and the port, an area dominated by the fishing trade. We can also see the crowded seaside promenade, as well as six kilometers of pebbly beaches, coves and cliffs. In the morning, the old town of Altea is peaceful and bright. Walk up the cobblestone streets to the highest point of the town, and you'll be amazed by the blue sea. The Church of Our Lady at the top is so beautiful that you might think you're in Santorini. Walk around the town from top to bottom and bottom to top. Although it's only 10 am, you can already hear tourists from all over the world. The Mediterranean town is full of charm, and no one can resist it.

Only those who have been here can understand the irresistible Spanish/European Mediterranean style! Southern Spain in early winter is full of the so-called Mediterranean style! People holding high beer glasses, short-sleeved shirts and sunglasses, noisy chats and laughter under the golden sunset... I had to sit down and have a glass of Tinto de Verano, to "live the best of my life" and enjoy the happiness and beauty of the moment! Altea is the Santorini of Spain. If you go to the south, you must not miss this place. Be sure to bring a flowing long or short summer skirt. Here, flowers are still blooming like fireworks in Greece, and they will slowly wither until January...so there are photo spots everywhere!
