Putahracsa Resort in Thailand
There are so many hotel options in Hua Hin that we had to decide which hotel to stay in a few days due to the dazzling array of choices. I saw the photos of Putahracsa restaurant on the Internet and thought it was so beautiful. After doing some research, I found that it is divided into two sides, one is by the sea and the other is on the inside of the road. We chose a pool villa, which cost about NT$9,700 a night. After staying there, I felt that I would probably not come again next time, and I don’t really recommend it.
As soon as the tuk-tuk arrived, someone assisted with the luggage and guided us. The lady at the counter explained that we could only check in at 2 o'clock, and asked us to pay a deposit of 1,000 Thai baht first, choose a welcome drink, and wait at the seaside restaurant. The pure white buildings and the blue sea give people a holiday vibe. I chose champagne smoothie as the welcome drink, which was super delicious.
I would like to first praise the service at the counter. We wanted to rent a motorcycle that day, but the one at the counter was sold out, so the hotel took us to a nearby rental agency to inquire. Although we still couldn't rent one, the service was really great.
After we checked in, the butler assisted in guiding us and told us that the mini bar was free. He then helped us make a bubble bath. The butler's attentiveness was evident everywhere. There was a card with my name printed on it, the wifi password was also set according to the guest's name, the amenities were very nice, and we were given a colorful cake when we checked in.
After changing clothes, we couldn't wait to go to the swimming pool. There are 3 swimming pools in total, 2 on the inside and 1 is the seaside swimming pool. Almost no one is using it. Most of the foreigners we saw were lying by the pool, reading lazily. When we arrived at the seaside swimming pool, we originally wanted to sit in the seats closest to the sea, but were told by the service staff that they had been booked. Although we know that the hotel wants to do business, it still feels pretty bad.
The hotel provides a one-way shuttle bus to Hua Hin Night Market. After returning from the night market, we originally planned to go to the beach bar for a drink, but we found that it was only open until 10:30, and all the seats were put away, so hotel guests could not use it. So we had to go back to the room to take a bath. When we wanted to make our own bubble bath, we found that the bubble gum was out. It was not convenient to disturb the counter so late, and when we turned on the hot water in the bathtub, we also found that the hot water in the bathroom was not available, so we caught a cold for a while.
Finally, it was about breakfast. We arrived at the counter at around 10 o'clock to inquire about the breakfast time and location, and found that there were three options for breakfast. The seaside restaurant was a la carte, the roadside restaurant was buffet style, and you could also dine in the room, but you had to inform the butler before 10 o'clock. We only found out about it after we asked, which was a bit suspicious, but the breakfast was delicious.
Another thing to note is the mini bar on the top layer. When I opened it, I thought there was a drawer with a latch at the back, but it fell down as soon as I opened it. As a result, two glasses were broken and I had to pay 300 baht in compensation.
Overall, I actually felt that the service was good, but maybe my expectations were too high. I just checked out of Hilton. Hilton provided swimming pool towels and there were people to greet us at all times, while Putahracsa was more like a restaurant with accommodation as a supplement. It gave priority to restaurant guests, which made me feel not very good and I would not recommend it to my friends. #Thailand #beaches #Hua Hin
