The first beach I happened to visit in Qingdao was a great place to just sit and stare blankly at the beautiful sunset. Maybe because it was winter, there was nothing on the beach, but it was nice in itself. The sand was especially soft and I felt good, so I sat down on the ground and watched the setting sun. I even ate the snacks in my bag one by one! When you go to the first beach, make sure to go at sunset. We specifically went to Qingdao to try our hand at surfing and let me tell you it was fantastic! We went through a company called North Surf on 1st Bathing Beach in Shinan district, Qingdao and had an excellent coach named Mi. He was chill and brought such a good vibe to our first surfing lesson. By the end of the lesson we were standing on the board and ready for bigger waves.
