"One Yihe Road, half a history of the Republic of China"
Deep within the lush plane trees of Yihe Road, 26 garden mansions from the Republic of China era are nestled,
The Yihe Mansion located in the twelfth district of the Yihe Road mansion area,
This place is not only a mansion building, but also one of China's most quintessential boutique hotels with a Republic of China flair.
The full name of Yihe Mansion is "Loralee Xia Duo·Yihe Mansion", a member of the hotel alliance Loralee Xia Duo, which is a luxury hotel brand from France.
The architectural appearance largely retains the style of the Republic of China, and the interior decoration and furnishings also fully display elements of that era.
Today, it is not only a must-visit internet-famous hotel for tourists visiting Nanjing, but also a popular photography spot in the city.
The entire hotel, both exterior and interior, is rich in the style of the Republic of China, fulfilling all your imaginations of that period. The guest room area is hidden deep in the trees, with winding paths ensuring privacy.

Experience a night in an old western-style house in Nanjing
||📍Yihe Mansion
Surroundings: Yihe Road Republic of China historical style area, right outside is a tourist check-in spot. About 3km from Jiming Temple and Xuanwu Lake.
Environment: There are about 20 villas in total, 8 of which are used for the hotel. The greening is good, and the houses are also nice looking.
⚠️There is security at the entrance, but outsiders can come and go as they please. There are quite a few local residents walking around in the evening. Be sure to close the doors behind you when entering the houses, but the security should be okay.
Service: The staff have a very good attitude.
Facilities: The occupancy rate seems not very high? The provided fruit was actually rotten. It must have been left for quite a while. The bed is on the softer side, and the quilt is very thick, so you need to turn on the air conditioning. There are 4 suites in one building, each with a terrace. The lighting in room 8 is very dim. The hangers are also in poor condition. The cleanliness is average. The breakfast is not tasty.
⚠️There are a lot of mosquitoes, so you must close the door immediately after going out to the terrace, otherwise, you won't be able to sleep at night because of the bites.
ps: Didn't stay in the cover, which is supposed to be the best and most expensive one haha
Summary: Staying one night to experience the Republic of China mansion is OK, but the comfort level is not particularly good.

Nanjing | Settle into Yihe Road and experience the elegance and prosperity of the Republican era
When the magnolias bloom, it's time to visit Nanjing.
It's said that 'a single Yihe Road tells half the history of the Republic.' This hotel, preserving the original Republican-era architecture, makes me feel even more the essence of the high life back then.
Equipped with a 24-hour personal butler, because I have to catch an early flight the next day, they will deliver breakfast to my room the night before.
From check-in at the 'Shenliutang' all the way through the winding paths to the front door of our little villa, everywhere is filled with a retro romantic charm.
My room type is on the second floor, and the butler will help carry the luggage up.
Going up the stairs, there's even a terrace facing me; the sunlight filtering through the louvred windows sprinkles on the parquet floor, and the dream of the Republic seems so distant, as if in a trance, I can hardly tell which era I'm actually in.
The city is Nanjing, the trees are plane trees, and you are the one in my heart.
I can always believe in the romance of Nanjing❤️

Immersed in the old times of the Republic of China, lost in the old dreams of Jinling
In Nanjing, there is a very legendary hotel, it has a profound historical background, it can represent an era of Nanjing. On Yihe Road in the center of Nanjing, there has always been a saying that 'one Yihe Road, half of the history of the Republic of China'. It is extremely historical here, and each building has its own unique story. Stay in Rollei Shado, Yihe Mansion, and indulge in the old dreams of Jinling.
In 1927, after the Republic of China established its capital in Nanjing, it issued the 'Capital Plan' written by Chiang Kai-shek himself. This is a city planning document, one of the products of which is the Yihe Road Mansion District. These celebrity residences and embassies, their courtyards and buildings each have their own characteristics, they each have their own stories, recording the changes of history.
The full name of Yihe Mansion is 'Rollei Shado·Yihe Mansion', which is a member of the hotel alliance Rollei Shado. Rollei Shado is a luxury hotel brand in France, known as the 'most beautiful hotel alliance in the world'. Only the world's top hotels and restaurants can become members of this organization. Therefore, the products of Yihe Mansion are absolutely not minefields.
As soon as you step into the hotel gate, you seem to be in the Republic of China. The Yihe Mansion is shaded by trees, and the villas are independent of each other, with mottled maple leaves and yellow wall courtyards. The white wooden shutters in the room, the queen's bathtub and other facilities, remind people of the old times of the Republic of China. The mattress is made by Sealy in the United States, and the bathroom is equipped with the British royal brand lefory brooks, which is completely high-end.
Entering from gate 4, after completing the check-in procedures in the small red western-style building on the left, the private housekeeper Amei guided me while telling the story here. The 26 villas are evenly distributed under the cover of the plane trees, the garden is green and the water is gurgling, surrounded by green bricks and pillars.
Somehow I suddenly thought of Miss Zhang Ailing. In the eyes of the world, she belongs more to the mottled agarwood of old Shanghai, but because of her love with Hu Lancheng and her ancestral relationship, whether it is the Jiang Mansion in 'Golden Lock', the White Mansion in 'Love in the Fallen City', or the Yao Family in 'Glass Tiles', it is hard not to doubt whether the reference is Zhang's ancestral home in Nanjing.
Building 21, Jiangsu Road, is the former residence of Zhao Xiasun, a well-known scholar in the Republic of China. When passing by the former residence of Liu Jiashu at No. 18, I couldn't help but stop and look for a while, because there are typical Roman columns at the door, which are very eye-catching. This was originally built by the businessman Xiong Jianyun, and was later bought by Liu Jiashu. This commander-in-chief was captured three times in history. The last time was during the War of Liberation. He was imprisoned in the Fushun War Criminals Management Office and died of illness in 1972. I don't know if he has ever met Puyi, the last emperor, in the War Criminals Management Office.
When the silk and hemp pajamas that were popular in the upper society in the old days, the patterned parquet floor, the sky blue porcelain, the retro telephone and the French shutters meet the American Sealy mattress, the British LefroyBrooks bathroom utensils, the negative ion air purifier, and the capsule coffee machine, the perfect combination of retro and novelty, the design of the mansion is also unique, giving up the flashy design, constantly integrating the nostalgia for the past in the details, but also very well fitting the overall style and atmosphere. Compared with Zhang's ancestral home, which has completely become a ruin, only the moon gate and the column base steps are left, and you can still imagine the traces of the flower hall pavilion in the past. It is fortunate that No. 3 Jiangsu Road can be preserved to this day, especially the mansion has also taken out several villas for the display of the culture of the Republic of China, covering the clothing of the Republic of China, the colored pencil drawing exhibition of the architecture of the Republic of China, the screening of movies from the period of the Republic of China, and the personal experience of engraving printing, etc. It is comparable to the private appreciation center of the museum, striving to reproduce the style of the Republic of China in that era.
Staying here, more likely is to be able to feel a cultural and historical experience that cannot be found elsewhere, more like a dark green dream in a parallel time and space.

There is also a national flag robe exhibition, the Republic of China food exhibition, education book exhibition, Kunqu Art Museum ... in many aspects of the cultural tradition of the Republic of China. From the purely experiential service provided by the hotel to the height of humanistic pursuit and historical sentiment, the award of the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage Protection Award can be obtained. The
noisy spot is sprinkled on the leaves of the French sycamore yellowing, and the thoughts switch back and forth between history and reality. The years are dignified, the literary aristocratic Republic of China, the era of the general public, has been like the leaves of this falling autumn leaves, disappearing in the dust of historical dust.
Renovation of the old Republican small building, pure white western blinds, revolving stairs, anti-carbonized parquet flooring, solid wood Chinese and Western furniture, exquisite retro telephone, brass lamp holder... ...all of them reflect the advocacy of the Republic of China on Western culture. Maojiasi's carpet, Jingdezhen azure porcelain, Rongbaozhai tailored the half-boiled rice paper for the hotel, taken from Lu Xun's "Peace of the Plum Blossoms" in the "Peace of the Plum Blossoms", Ning Shen Deworming The beech ball, the carving of the ten scenes of Jinling, the Chinese pajamas of silky texture... and the influence of traditional culture everywhere.
