Reykjavik winter citywalk route
❄️In Iceland's winter, the days are short and the nights are long, the sun doesn't rise until 9:30 in the morning, so there's no need to get up early to watch the sunrise, so we easily set off from the hotel and started the city walk in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.
🌅9:30 Start from the Sun Voyager to watch the sunrise, determine the sunrise time and hotel distance one day in advance, and set off in advance.
🕍10:15 Go to the City Hall and Tjörnin, where there is a three-dimensional map of Iceland, and you can also learn about Iceland's geography. Half of Tjörnin is frozen, and you can have a snowball fight on it.
🏰11:30 Arrive at Hallgrímskirkja, the landmark building of Reykjavik, climb to the top of the church, you can overlook the entire Reykjavik, it really feels like being in a Nordic fairy tale, it's breathtaking.
🚶♀️12:30 Walk along the Rainbow Walkway and enjoy lunch.
🕙14:00 Visit the Tintin Museum, the only museum in the world that specializes in Tintin collections, it's very unique, adults can go too, go and experience it for yourself!
🛍️16:00 Go shopping on Laugavegur Commercial Street, most shops close at 18:00.
🍽️18:00 Enjoy dinner.
🎇19:30 After dinner, take a walk to Harpa Concert Hall, a building with a unique exterior.
🎉20:00 Return to the hotel to rest, or go in search of the Northern Lights.
🌈On the second night in Iceland, we saw very strong Northern Lights.
Although Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland, it is not large in area, and city walking is very relaxed.
🛍️About shopping:
Prices in Iceland are very expensive, but I highly recommend the "BLUE LAGOON" volcanic ash cleansing mask! It's not tight at all, it's very easy to use! The Silica Mud Mask, after using it, the skin is smooth! It's the best cleansing mask I've ever used! The airport shop is more cost-effective than the city shop!
1️⃣Geysir geyser erupts very frequently, we watched it several times, and even once it erupted twice in a row;
2️⃣Gullfoss and Silfra Fissure are both very shocking;
3️⃣Be sure to wear ice claws, otherwise some very slippery places can only be walked on the ground;
4️⃣There are many groups going to the Golden Circle, and the whole Golden Circle is generally a day trip.
