Situated on Rue Oued El Makhazine in Gueliz, you’re only about 1.3–1.8 km (20 min walking distance) from Jemaa el‑Fna and the Medina, yet far enough that you're safely away from the tourist crowdfunding. We stayed in a suite, and if I could pick again, I’d recommend a suite to anyone — it’s noticeably more spacious, and gives a real retreat feel. Even the standard rooms are well-designed, but a suite offers that extra comfort for winding down after exploring the city. 🏖️BAmbiance/Facilities: The hotel has two outdoor pools: a deeper one on the ground floor (ideal for laps or a refreshing dip), and a smaller pool on the rooftop. My Moroccan friend highly recommended Safran by Kôya, a restaurant frequented by both locals and tourists. It's so popular that I couldn't make a reservation, but I called to ask if there were any same-day cancellations, and they said they had them, so I went. The menu offers a wide selection of Moroccan dishes as well as international options, and the restaurant's atmosphere is truly Marrakech, which I loved. The lighting and ambiance are great, making for great photos. Above all, the food is so delicious that I highly recommend it. We ordered salmon and crab appetizers, octopus, Moroccan couscous, cocktails, mocktails, and dessert. I ate my fill and paid a little over 200,000 won. While it's certainly pricey compared to Moroccan prices, the service was excellent and the food was delicious, making it a place I'd definitely visit again. The octopus dish was particularly tender, and the sauce tasted like Korean bibimjang, perfect for Korean palates. The beef in the beef couscous was so tender I didn't even need to use a knife. As expected from a Radisson Blu hotel, the facilities and rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. The clean and cozy rooms, along with the powerful air conditioning that was a lifesaver in the scorching July heat of Marrakech, made my stay very satisfying. Each room also had a terrace where you could sit and relax, adding a touch of romance to the experience. Sitting on the terrace, I could fully enjoy the unique reddish hues of Marrakech, which was truly delightful. What stood out the most was the excellent location of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Marrakech Carre Eden. It was connected to an underground mall and grocery store, just a 7-minute walk from Marrakech train station, and within walking distance to various famous restaurants. I was also impressed by the gym and swimming pool facilities! Although I didn’t have time to use them, I can confidently say that this hotel had the best gym and pool facilities among all the Radisson Blu hotels I’ve visited. I went to the website 3 days before my visit, but there weren't many time slots left to make a reservation. The admission fee is 170 Moroccan dirhams per adult. This is where Yves Saint Laurent lived with his business partner and life partner Pierre Bergé, and where their ashes were scattered after their deaths. Bacha Coffee, which was born in Singapore, opened in the place where Dar el Bacha Palace used to be. Many people think that the Bacha Coffee brand is over 100 years old because it says "1910 Marrakech" on the Bacha Coffee packaging, but 1910 is the year that coffee was first served at Dar el Bacha Palace! I saw a review that Bacha Coffee, which opens at 10 AM, should be open for an opening run because so many tourists visit. So I arrived at 9:45 AM, but the line was already incredibly long. It took almost an hour from the time Bacha Cafe opened at 10 AM to the time I bought my ticket. Including the Basha Coffee Museum, it costs 60 dirhams, and the general admission ticket costs 10 dirhams. There were so many people that we couldn't have coffee and snacks at the cafe. We had to give up eating at the cafe because we had to wait more than 2 hours. Instead, we could order bakery items and have them packed. So we ordered 2 croissants and 2 pound cakes and paid 100 dirhams. I was surprised that the lemon pound cake was so moist and delicious. We also had to wait in line to buy Basha coffee, but after buying this and that, we ended up spending 400,000 won just on coffee. Since it was said to be the highest quality coffee, we ended up buying a lot of different things. The Dar el Bacha Palace had such a pretty garden, so it was fun to not only buy coffee but also tour the palace itself. My friend and I ordered Moroccan mint tea, iced Americano, beef tagine, and Marrakech tanjia, and paid a total of 350 dirhams. It's a traditional Moroccan restaurant, but it's more expensive than other places. The Moroccan mint tea was fragrant, sweet, and strong, so I refilled it with hot water three times. The Moroccan mint leaves in the kettle were very refreshing. The beef tagine was so well-boiled with onions that the sweetness and savory flavor from the onions were amazing. And Tanjia, which can only be tasted in Marrakech, is a Marrakech-style braised rib. The beef was very soft and flavorful. Since it is a high-end restaurant, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend it as a good restaurant in Marrakech. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes one way, and I paid 390 dirhams for a round trip first class. ☕️Photo 2-3: Bacha Coffee There is a Bacha Coffee headquarters in Marrakech, Morocco, and this cafe is famous for its beauty. It opens at 10, but I went there at 9:40 and waited in line. There were too many people so I couldn't eat and I could only buy filter coffee. Instead, I could get the bakery to-go. I ordered a pound cake and a croissant and they were so delicious. And... I bought a lot of coffee so I spent almost 400,000 won on coffee alone..ㅎㅎ 🌵 Photos 5-8: Majorelle Garden Yves Saint Laurent Mansion The Majorelle Garden is the villa where Yves Saint Laurent, the designer of the French luxury brand Yves Saint Laurent, lived!
