My friends all thought I went to Chiang Mai! But I actually went to Qingyuan. 🌾🌾|||Qingyuan is so photogenic! The distant mountains, rice paddies, grasslands, and atmospheric homestays make for great photos. As long as you dress up, you'll have a great time taking photos. 📸📸
Photos 2–5 were taken at the homestay. The homestay is very suitable for families, as it is large enough and offers various activities for both adults and children to enjoy. I introduced it in my previous post. 😜😜
Photos 6–12 were taken at Sanhe Dao. It is so beautiful and comfortable there, and every corner is photogenic. It is definitely worth a visit. ✅️ You can spend more time there. Besides taking photos, it is also very pleasant to just sit there, read a book 📖, and have a cup of coffee. ☕

The homestay managed by White Swan is indeed okay
Generally, no matter how good the materials are, if a homestay is not well managed, it probably won't last a year. There are countless examples of this.
However, Sanhe Dao Li is really excellent. It has been open for a long time, and you can see that every corner of the hotel is meticulously managed and operated. The service is very good.
Unfortunately, the timing of our visit was not ideal as the rice had just been harvested. Sanhe Dao Li has become Sanhe Li, but it doesn't affect its beauty! Moreover, because the rice has been harvested, the reflection of the sunset on the paddy fields is absolutely stunning!
Additionally, the rice barn in the hotel is managed by the chefs from White Swan, and the food is very delicious!

The hotel is named 'Sanyuan Dao Li', with 'Sanyuan' coming from the name of the small village where it is located, Sanhe. As a rural renovation project, the hotel was rebuilt on the basis of abandoned village houses. Covering an area of 28 acres, the hotel was designed by hia, including the renovation of 17 old houses and the construction of 10 new buildings.
The hotel lobby is surrounded by dozens of acres of rice fields. Having lived in the city for a lifetime, this is the first time I truly smelled the fragrance of rice coming from the fields.
Once you enter the hotel from the lobby building, you are greeted by a scene where ancient courtyards and houses blend with modernity. In addition to the lobby 'Sanyuan Academy', the hotel's public buildings include a Chinese restaurant 'Rice Warehouse', a Western restaurant 'Arita', a bar 'Night Hill', and a tea room 'Wu Cha', among others.
The room I stayed in this time was an ancient house duplex suite with an area of about 180 square meters, located in the hotel's ancient house renovation area.
The entire suite is a typical traditional Guangzhou-style residence with a three-room and two-corridor layout. The first floor of the suite consists of a cloakroom/bathroom area/private bath, washroom/bedroom/small courtyard, and living room/dining room.
The bedroom and living room on the first floor are separated by partitions, making the space more spacious. What's more surprising is that in Guangdong, the hotel rooms are all equipped with floor heating. This suite has a separate dining room on the first floor, and the hotel's minibar is also located here. It is equipped with local tea leaves and tea sets, Nespresso coffee machine, etc. The minibar is free and includes local soft drinks, regular carbonated beverages, and sparkling water.
The attic space on the second floor of the hotel has also been made into a separate room, equipped with a slightly smaller 1.8m bed. But I really love the glass ceiling, whether it's the sunlight shining on me during the day or looking at the starry sky when the weather is cool.
The hotel chose the 'Kunlun Boiling Snow' series from Guan Xia for its amenities, and the fragrance is still very good in terms of the fidelity of the fragrance products.

On the weekend at Qingyuan New World, getting ready to head back,
Dad suggested trying a nearby farmstead (I thought it was the usual kind with an average environment and fresh ingredients), so with a mix of trepidation and faint anticipation, I accepted the arrangement
The result... When a field of rice paddies came into view, the 'farmstead' Dad found this time amazed everyone!!
Right after parking, there was a shuttle waiting, providing a seamless connection. On the road passing through a small bamboo grove, the driver even gave a brief introduction.
Only then did I learn it was a newly opened hot spring resort, originating from the Republican-era village of Sanhe Village, which, while preserving the old houses from that period, has integrated modern design
The dining section offers both Chinese and Western cuisine; we chose the Chinese 'Rice Barn'. The environment is nice with a sense of design, not too crowded since there were only three tables; our party of four adults and two children ordered four dishes and one soup, all tasty and in generous portions, including the special 'Mountain Pond Cured Flavor Steamed Mountain Pit Dried Fish'; there's also baby tableware.
After the meal, the kids read books in the Sanhe Academy, played chess, while the adults could gaze at the rice fields, with the natural canvas of yellow and green hues filling their view, feeling completely at ease, as if time also slowed down~

Who would have thought that Guangdong would one day have its own 'Wu Yu Lan', truly a poetic and idyllic place.
I especially recommend the duplex room type we booked, with a huge and beautiful living room that has two beds.
It also comes with a dining room, dressing room, private hot spring pool...
It's very suitable for a family or a group of close friends to stay together. The only regret is that it rained on the day we arrived, so we didn't go to the hot springs.
But a few of us ate Qingyuan chicken, drank wine, and unexpectedly watched a fireworks show. The first little trip of 2024 was very satisfying.

According to the introduction, this place was originally a village that existed during the Republic of China period, but later, due to urbanization, the villagers gradually moved away. In 2020, it was transformed into the current B&B hotel, retaining the local Lingnan-style ancient houses and incorporating modern design, which has revitalized the ancient village.

Qingyuan Library.
