Shamei Building, originally known as Shamei Bank Building, was built in 1918. It was designed by the famous design firm - British firm Tong and Yang, and completed in 1921. I have passed by in a hurry a few times before, and this time I have time to go in and sit for a while and take a good look. Half of the first floor is a restaurant, and half is a small exhibition area. The restaurant is a bit dark, and there is no exhibition now, just appreciating the architecture and decoration, which is also a pleasant thing.
