I extended my stay at this Shangri-La homestay for 3 days! It was so worth it!
This is a homestay in Shangri-La Old Town that I couldn't help but extend my stay at.
With its superior location and warm service,
it brought me many surprises during my trip.
.
🌁Decor:
From the outside, it looks like a very traditional Tibetan-style building.
The interior is very high-end and textured,
a new modern style that combines ins style and wabi-sabi style,
exuding a simple and elegant beauty.
.
🏘️Facilities:
The homestay has a restaurant, tea room, front desk, and lounge area.
The room has its own electric heater, humidifier, TV, and oxygen supply.
There is also a balcony, bathtub, and disposable toiletries.
.
🎠Things to do:
The homestay is near Dukezong Ancient Town,
a famous ancient city with a thousand-year-old culture,
with the most famous prayer wheel and the singing and dancing Sifang Street.
Wander through the charming ancient streets and alleys,
and experience the ethnic heritage of this city.
.
💗Other tips:
For those visiting the plateau for the first time, it is recommended to start with low-altitude areas to avoid altitude sickness. You can visit Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang before going to Shangri-La.
The altitude here is about 3,300 meters, the UV rays are strong, and the climate is very dry, so be sure to protect yourself from the sun and keep your skin moisturized.
