The hotel was restored and designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, seamlessly blending historical charm and natural elements. Surprisingly, the reception area was formerly the official residence of the Governor of Nara Prefecture. The location is incredibly convenient, within walking distance to many famous attractions such as Nara Park with its roaming deer, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Kofuku-ji Temple, the National Museum, and Todai-ji Temple. The rooms feature soft wooden tones and are adorned with local crafts, combining traditional and modern design for a visually pleasing experience. Each room has floor-to-ceiling windows offering serene garden views, creating a relaxing and soothing atmosphere. The mattress is perfectly balanced in firmness, and the bedside lamp's brightness can be adjusted, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bath amenities are from Byredo, with a subtle fragrance that isn't overpowering, and the body lotion provides just the right amount of moisture. The hairdryer is a REPRONIZER, which is absolutely fantastic!

I decided to visit Japan during the summer vacation. I hadn't thought about staying in Nara for a night. The booking date was Thursday, and I bought a suite voucher to fill up the suite options. First visit for my partner's anniversary. My partner was surprised by the great plan that included an open-air bath in the room! I was very satisfied with the plan that included dinner and breakfast.
