The Albert Memorial - London
The Prince Albert Memorial is a magnificent monument in Kensington Gardens, a monument to Queen Victoria's endless love for her husband. Made in the Neo-Gothic and richly decorated with sculptures, the monument is a reminder of the life and work of the Prince Consort.
The main attraction of the memorial is the frieze of Parnassus, which depicts 169 famous cultural figures from Antiquity to the Renaissance. The frieze consists of four parts: its southern side depicts composers, poets and writers, the eastern side depicts artists, the northern side depicts architects, and the western side depicts sculptors.
