My friend arranged a two-day and one-night 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝗼𝐧 for my birthday in advance. The hotel I stayed in was 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝗺𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝗼𝐭𝐞𝐥 ʕ •́؈•̀ ₎ in Wan Chai 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝗺𝐢𝐧𝐠 is themed after a ferry, and the hotel lobby and rooms are designed like a cabin, creating a nostalgic feeling that makes people feel like they are in old Hong Kong. -𝑬𝒙𝒕𝒓𝒂 𝑳𝒂𝒓𝒈𝒆 𝑹𝒐𝒐𝒎- First of all, the room is very spacious. Even with a dressing table and two small sofas, there is still enough space to move around. There is also a screen with a mirror on the dressing table, and behind it is a super comfortable 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞 bed, which can accommodate 3 girls. But the only downside is the view. Although the windows are very large, which can greatly increase the amount of light, due to the low floor, the view of the room is the parking lot, which reduces the privacy in disguise. Even during the day, you have to draw the curtains. As for the bathroom, the design style is completely different from that of the other rooms. | What do designers do when they stay in a hotel? A good hotel stay can be as enjoyable as watching a movie. The FEN Hotel is located on Fleming Road in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. The word "Fleming" is a transliteration of the word "film", which implies that the hotel has a deep connection with film aesthetics. From the reception, you can feel the full sense of the movie. The red elevator instantly reminds you of the scene in "The Grand Budapest Hotel". The hotel is inspired by the representative cross-sea ferry, and cleverly shows the unique local style with the ferry culture. The designer used the Star Ferry, the main transportation tool for Hong Kong people to cross the sea in the 1970s, as the design inspiration, and moved the backrest chairs and wooden floors in the cabin to the hotel. The bright colors used in the lighthouses, temples, and street stalls during the heyday of Hong Kong's navigation and ferry culture are used in various details of the hotel, recreating the 1970s Hong Kong. The hotel rooms are decorated with local artworks and photos, and through wooden floors, soft lighting, bottle green and navy blue tones, and brass decorative details, a warm and comfortable space is created. The new room decoration is both intimate and practical, with a control panel in the room for easy adjustment of lighting and power switches. Some rooms place the desk behind the headboard to release more space, while the open wardrobe, dressing table and minibar use a connected design. The process of taking the subway after leaving the customs and then following the map to the hotel is like treasure hunting. If you encounter a hotel you like, it is like a treasure. When I saw the hotel for the first time, I was attracted by the restaurant in the glass window. The small door on the left is the passage to the hotel for check-in.
