Last weekend, taking advantage of the late spring cold in Beijing, I went to the long-famous private hot spring homestay Yipiao Inn. We chose a relatively reasonably priced snow 🌨️ mountain view room. Overall, the room had some flaws, the service was perfect 💯, the surrounding attractions were a bit disappointing but negligible, I would give it 4.5 stars ⭐. ✅Room The Xuejian Mountain View Room is a Japanese tatami room with a Japanese decorative paper window inside the entire glass window next to the bed, and an electric blackout curtain outside the window. There is a half wall outside the window, and below it is the path that leads to Yipiao by car. The sound insulation is very good, but the privacy is a little poor, which is one of the shortcomings. Outside the house, you can see the mountains in the distance and the layers of eaves, which is very beautiful. Except for the lack of a refrigerator, the house is fully equipped with everything, including a Marshall small speaker, a Smeg kettle, a Delonghi capsule coffee machine, and an Aurora projector. The second drawback is that some doors and windows in the room have poor light-blocking properties, so when you open your eyes at around eight or nine o'clock, the room is already very bright. If you are a light sleeper and don't like light coming into the room in the morning, this room type may not be suitable for you. ✅Tangchi The hot spring pool is outdoors and can accommodate two people. It is also separated from the path below by a half wall. You don't have to worry about glaring at people on the street when you stand up from the hot spring, but it's not okay to make noise and sing loudly while taking a bath. The housekeeper will clean the hot spring in advance before check-in, so you can just fill the water yourself before taking a bath. Dried flower petals and bath salts are available free of charge and in unlimited quantities. Looking up, you can see the sky from the patio perspective🈳. We stayed two nights and took a total of three baths, which was totally worth it. ✅Service As a B&B, Yipiao's service is excellent. Parking is free, and you can ask the butler to send you a parking ticket before going out every time. We ate in the restaurant on the first morning, and on the second day we simply asked the housekeeper to deliver breakfast to the room, which was almost like having food served to us. We had a hearty breakfast, came back from the scenic area without having lunch, made a pot of tea, ate snacks and fruits we brought with us, had a bath in the evening, and ordered dinner for two to eat in the house.
