On the 19th of January, we arrived at Tsing Yi MTR Station and took the exit out to Tsing Yi Promenade. From Maritime Square, looking across towards Lai King, we took a right and walked all the way to the end of the promenade. We took the pedestrian subway and overpass, ending up at Mayfair Gardens. Once we got on the hiking trail, we hit three peaks (Sai Shan, Sam Chi Heung North Peak and Sam Chi Heung Middle Peak) before reaching the final peak (Sam Chi Heung). This ‘Tsing Yi Peak’ hike is great for those who love a good view of the city. The hike gave us views over the city and we were able to see Tsing Yi, Lai King and Tsuen Wan. It also allowed us to see the massive expanse of one of the largest cargo ports in the world. After reaching the peak, we walked back along the way we came, until we saw a path leading off, with a sign labelled ‘Ching Wah Court’. We walked down this way, arriving at a bus stop on Tsing Yi Road West, from which we took our bus home.
