#trip2022 I visited Ushiku with my family on the weekend. The weather was nice, so I was able to take some great photos of the blue sky and the Ushiku Daibutsu. The Buddha is so big that it takes some ingenuity to take a good photo. After seeing the Buddha, I stayed at a friend's house and experienced country life. We had a relaxing weekend.

The surroundings are pretty peaceful, so I enjoyed a leisurely stroll! An elevator takes visitors up 85m to an observation floor where you are able to see the surroundings up to few KM away. The museum inside provides the history of the statue with in details of construction. You never feel that you are inside one of the top 5 tallest statues in the world. We spend more than an hour inside. Beautiful gardens with verities of flowers make the place a heaven. Highly recommended... In 2024, I want to visit this place.
