[2025 Taishan Attraction] Travel Guide for Wang Fu Zhou (Updated Oct)

There is a beautiful island called Xiachuan Island in Taishan, Jiangmen. September happens to be the season with abundant seafood harvest and good weather, so we planned a two-day and one-night trip. In general, the experience is excellent. Here are some tips to share and help you avoid pitfalls! Transportation in Area 1: Purchase a package ticket (including round-trip boat, island bus and tickets) on the official account "Chuandao Tourism Network" at least 1 day in advance, drive to "Shanzui Port", take a boat for about 40 minutes to "Xiachuan Island Duwan Wharf", and take a bus for about 30 minutes to "Wangfuzhou Tourist Area" after getting off the boat. The homestay is in the scenic area. There are basically no Didi taxis on the island, and almost every restaurant and hotel has electric cars. For free pick-up and drop-off, we should proactively talk to them about the pick-up and drop-off issues. Accommodation in District 2: Because we were traveling in the off-season, we saw a good review on Meituan and called to ask. The price was definitely much cheaper than buying on the spot or on Meituan. We chose "Taishan Kaiyi Seaview B&B". We rented a sea view room. The environment and hygiene were good. The boss and his wife were very nice. They took the initiative to drive to the scenic area to pick us up and take us to the B&B. They would recommend hotels, car rentals and other services. There was no mandatory consumption. District 3 Food: I would recommend "He Yi Restaurant" and "Hai Lan Xuan Restaurant". They are restaurants opened by locals. A meal for 9 people only costs about 450 yuan. The menu is rich, with freshly caught and cooked mussels, snails, mantis shrimps, various fish, crabs and other seafood. There are also sweet and sour spare ribs, stir-fried free-range chicken with ginger and scallions, etc. They are fresh and taste good, but these two restaurants are not on Meituan, so many people will just look at other restaurants on Meituan and go there to eat.
