Exploring the Mystique of Wat Mahathat!🇹🇭
#timetotravel
Stepping through its ancient gates, I found myself transported to a realm of tranquility and spiritual bliss. This magnificent temple, known for its iconic Buddha head entwined in the roots of a Bodhi tree, offers an experience that is both spiritually enriching and visually mesmerizing. I recommend arriving early in the morning, just as the sun's gentle rays illuminate the temple grounds, casting a magical glow upon the intricately designed structures. This allows for a more intimate experience, away from the bustling crowds that tend to gather as the day progresses. The temple opens its doors to visitors from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
Entrance Fee: 50 Thai Bhat
Nearest Subway Station: Sanam Chai MRT Station

Around Bangkok | Ayutthaya, the most shocking place in Thailand, a World Heritage Site
Ayutthaya, an hour's drive north of Bangkok, was once the capital of the second Ayutthaya dynasty in Thai history, prospered for 400 years, and left many shocking ruins after being conquered by Burma, and was listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
If you are interested in Thai history and Buddhist culture, Ayutthaya is definitely a place not to be missed.
Here are some temples worth visiting:
1️⃣Wat Mahathat: Built in the 13th century, it is one of the most famous temples in Ayutthaya, and one of the seven wonders of Thailand, the famous 'Buddha in the tree' is here, people call it 'eternal smile'.
2️⃣Wat Ratchachurana: Located opposite Wat Mahathat, built in 1424, it is known as 'Thailand's Parthenon'. Through the stone door directly opposite the entrance, you can take pictures of the majestic and spectacular pagoda, as if you have traveled through time and space.
3️⃣Phra Si Sanphet: A royal temple comparable to the Emerald Buddha Temple in Bangkok. The three tall grey-white Sri Lankan-style pagodas standing in the center are still intact, and the huge ruins can still make people feel its once grandeur and brilliance.
4️⃣Wat Chaiwatthanaram: The most majestic and magnificent temple in Ayutthaya, very similar to the Khmer-style pagoda group of Angkor Wat. The central pagoda is surrounded by small pagodas, arches, and sitting Buddhas, which are very exquisite and good for taking pictures. Many people who take pictures in Thai costumes come here.
5️⃣Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon: The filming location of the 86 version of Journey to the West and 'Lost in Thailand', built in 1592 to commemorate the victory over the Burmese army. The pagoda is tall and solemn, the group of Buddha statues is intact, and the incense is very prosperous.
6️⃣Wat Phu Khao Thong: A small temple far from the city, all white, with few tourists, good for taking pictures.

Bangkok food 2022
Jodd Fair offers more than 600 food vendors ranging from restaurants, street food stands and actual food tents. You can hang out with friends and bask in the nightlife. There are several vintage stores selling old-school items such as denims, jackets, tartan shirts that are hard to find these days. A wide array of street clothes can also be found at the market ranging from crop tops to trendy fashionable dresses.
You won’t miss the sprawling market as it’s rather easy to spot, located behind the shopping mall named Central Plaza Grand Rama 9. So head on down with your loved ones if you’ll be in the vicinity to check it out!
Prices were pretty affordable too and cabs were easily accessible.
