Of all the floating markets around Bangkok, I like Klong Ratchaburi Mayom. It is closer than Amphawa and Damnoen Sa, more visited by locals, larger than Dalinjiang, and offers a long-tail boat cruise experience with free shuttle service, making it convenient to experience exotic fireworks.
The Khlong Lat Mayom Market is located on both sides of the river. On the left is the food court, with hundreds of food stalls at affordable prices: coconuts for 20🐷, grilled shrimp plates for 100🐷, large tilapia for 150🐷, mangosteen, wax apple, small pineapple, and durian are all very fresh, with a rich variety of snacks; food boats pass by in the river from time to time, the number is not large, but it is enough to see, selling flowers, vegetables, and fried rice noodles, with a strong sense of fireworks; on the right side of the riverside plank road, there are some handicraft shops, and the camera position is great here to take pictures of the boats coming and going in the floating market.
The characteristic of Khlong Lat Mayom Market - long-tail boat tour. 100🐷/person, will go to two places, about 1.5h. The first stop is Wat Saphan Floating Market. It is smaller in scale, but there are temples to visit next to it, and the boat noodle fried rice is also delicious. The second stop is the orchid garden, where tropical flowers and small ornaments complement each other, and it is also very pleasant to drink a cup of butterfly pea flower sparkling water.
Tips: Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 to 17:00.
Transportation: Take the MRT Bang Kun Non Station, exit 2, there are free shuttle buses to Klong Lat Mayom and Dalinjiang Floating Markets, from 9:00 to 16:30, every 20-30 minutes, operating on a circular line. From BTS Bang Wa Station, take Grab or Bolt for 100-150🐷 and it takes about 25 minutes to get there.
