The Milky Way Cave is really a good place to take photos
This scenic spot in Xindian is a very famous check-in spot. Although it takes a little time and effort to walk up, it is actually worth the walk. It takes about 20 minutes to reach. Moreover, this check-in spot is worth visiting. It is a distinctive highlight and it is really beautiful to take pictures. That's right, you don't have to worry about the weather when checking in here.

New Taipei | A hidden secret place on earth, the "Galaxy Cave" mountain hiking trail in Xindian, with a spectacular waterfall and a mountain temple, is a wonder!
😁The fairy-like attraction "Galaxy Cave" in Xindian is really beautiful and shocking!
The climb is not too difficult. It takes about 10 to 20 minutes to reach the Yinhe Cave. You can hear the sound of waterfalls along the way. There are open stone benches along the way for you to take a break.
The ground in the Galaxy Cave is quite wet because it is near the waterfall, so be careful! It is recommended not to come during peak hours because there will be a lot of people!
There aren’t many places where you can see waterfalls up close, so I was really excited to see it 🤣
Address: No. 68, Yinhe Road, Xindian District, New Taipei City (directly navigate to Yinhe Cave).
Opening hours: 24H.
Features: Close-up waterfalls, scenery, mountain climbing, and internet beauties.

This time I will take you straight up to the clouds☁️, to feel the misty and fairy-like 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️ of the Galaxy Cave Mountain Crossing Trail🥾. This trail is not difficult and can be easily reached by beginners (only about half an hour round trip). Due to the special terrain, the stream above cuts straight down from the cliff on the mountainside. The waterfall-like waterfall on the itinerary is as beautiful as the Milky Way😘 and has become a popular check-in spot on IG‼ ️Luckily it has been raining recently, the waterfall has enough water, making the whole picture look spectacular💧
Actually there is a fork in the road that leads to the Maokong Trail, but it is quite far away. I will try it next time I have the chance. I also provide it for your reference😁

Visit the Yinhe Cave Trail
Yinhe Cave is located upstream of Meizi Liao Creek and is formed by a concave mountain wall. Visitors can enjoy the waterfall and fern plants from the balcony of the Guanyin Temple, or take a break at the stone tables and chairs to soak in the tranquil forest atmosphere. Additionally, you can pass through the small temple to reach the Lü Dongbin Temple behind it, where you can get close to the waterfall and enjoy the refreshing mist.
The Yinhe Cave Waterfall is divided into upper and lower sections, with a concave mountain wall forming a cave in the middle. Standing inside the Water Curtain Cave, you can feel the gentle breeze and mist, which is incredibly soothing. Inside Yinhe Cave, there is a small Guanyin Temple embedded in the cliff, as well as a Lü Dongbin Temple located behind the waterfall.
Route: Take bus 660 to Muzha, then transfer to bus Small 10 to Wacuo. Walk along the Zhanghu Trail to connect to the Yinhe Cave Trail. The entire journey takes about an hour.
📍Address: No. 68, Yinhe Road, Xindian District, New Taipei City, 231
Located not far from downtown Taipei, the Yinhe Cave Crossing Trail is a scenic and accessible hiking route. The overall distance is not long, and the path is lush with greenery, exuding a refreshing forest atmosphere. It is perfect for a day trip to get close to nature and relax.
The initial section of the trail leading to Yinhe Cave is relatively damp, especially after rain when the ground can be slippery. It is recommended to wear non-slip shoes and watch your step. Along the way, you will pass a small temple next to a waterfall. Continuing upwards, you will reach the final destination, the Yinhe Cave Lüzu Temple. The temple is built against the mountain and is adjacent to the waterfall, which is abundant in water and offers a magnificent view. This is one of the highlights of the entire trail. There are public restrooms next to the temple, providing convenience for travelers to take a break.
If time permits, you can continue to Maokong, where you can enjoy tea in the tea gardens and then return via the Camphor Tree Trail. This is a suburban hiking route full of variety.
Transportation
Take the Taipei MRT to Xindian Station, then transfer to bus Green 15 (about once an hour). It is recommended to check the bus schedule before departure to ensure a smooth connection. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes, and after getting off, you need to walk a section of the road to reach the trailhead. The entire trail is mostly shaded, making it cooler. The initial section of the hike involves steep stairs, which are somewhat challenging but not difficult.
Overall, the Yinhe Cave Crossing Trail is a great choice for both sightseeing and hiking. A light trip on the weekend to experience the natural charm of the suburbs is just perfect!
