Monet's Garden Appears on the Streets of Shanghai!! It's Beautiful!!
Hydrangeas and irises are spread all over the streets, such a scene is the first time I've seen in my life! 🇨🇳🇫🇷 Garden art is integrated into the Shikumen architectural complex, creating symmetrical beauty with geometric design. I really like irises, seeing this large and bold arrangement makes me ecstatic! It seems to be a limited street decoration, interested friends should go quickly!
📍 Zhang Garden (There was almost no one when I went in the afternoon)
💐 I didn't expect Zhang Garden in summer to also have Monet's Garden!
🌴 The environment is super good, the embodiment of summer. The greenery and small flowers have a great atmosphere.
🌲 In Zhang Garden, besides the antique buildings of Dior and LV, there are also other ice cream shops and coffee shops. It's great for taking photos and strolling around.

The Sino-French Craftsmanship Fair at Zhangyuan is a collision of luxury and traditional charm.
The Sino-French Craftsmanship Fair has come to Shanghai! I am very grateful to have been invited to visit and experience this artistic dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures.
Walking into the pavilion is like traveling to the hall of art, where the French ambassador and CEOs of major brands gather to witness the fusion of French lifestyle art and Chinese craftsmanship. 💡
17 top French luxury brands exude their unique charm here, and there are staff members to guide and explain the exhibits. Several brands left a deep impression on me!
.
👠The collision of CL's classic red-soled shoes and traditional Chinese tiger-head shoes is a fusion of fashion and tradition that is eye-catching!
💼At the Hermès workshop, I witnessed the exquisite craftsmanship of handmade bags, with every stitch and thread 🧵 revealing the dedication and persistence of the craftsmen.
💎At the Chanel booth, you can also experience the haute couture art of hand-beading, and the delicate and exquisite details are amazing.
🎨In addition, I also discovered the exquisite beauty of traditional Chinese snuff bottles, with vivid hand-painted paintings, each one is a work of art.

Zhang Yuan, wake up, Zhang Yuan!
Uh 😅 why is it that at the beginning of the year, Zhang Yuan was bustling with life, but now it is barely hanging on with only 10% of its vitality left? Is it all because of the hot weather? Many people in Shanghai are tanning, isn't this hot weather just perfect for that? Dior has withdrawn, LV has blocked the subway exit opposite, and the % coffee shop is deserted. Besides Xintiandi, can't there be another area with old houses? This operation is definitely going to cut salaries and bonuses. Only during weekend events is there a tiny bit of a crowd. Such a good location, even if you let me set up a stall to do something, it would be fine. Sigh, truly a sigh. Although it has nothing to do with me, I can't help but cry out, wake up, century-old Zhang Yuan!

The Blooming of Magnolia - Exhibition of Chinese Humanities and Science Treasures
I remember visiting an exhibition called 'The Blooming of Magnolia - Exhibition of Chinese Humanities and Science Treasures' at Zhang Garden, where over a hundred pieces of famous letters and manuscripts were on display. The exhibition was divided into three chapters: 'A Century of Light', 'Brilliant Literary Stars', and 'The Light of Science'. The exhibits included many handwritten letters, showcasing the patriotism and noble character of literary figures such as Ba Jin, Shen Yanbing, and Xia Yan, as well as the steadfastness and firm beliefs of democratic figures like Zhang Yuanji, Zhang Shizhao, and Huang Yanpei. There were also precious manuscripts revealing the pragmatic and innovative spirit of renowned scientists like Qian Xuesen, Qian Sanqiang, and Zhu Guangya. As the 2024 Shanghai Science Festival is about to open, these treasured exhibits have become an important carrier to reflect the spirit of scientists, forming a resonant echo.
Holding the exhibition at Zhang Garden is not only a tribute to the innovative ideas of the Shanghai School but also a commemoration and inheritance of the humanities and scientific spirit of Shanghai and even China.

Zhang Yuan Dior Limited Time Exhibition, Check-in for Free Samples
Miss Dior Fearless Love Limited Time Journey
Time: 2024/8/10-11
Location: Zhang Yuan
The exhibition is free and no reservation is required.
Yesterday, I passed by Zhang Yuan and stumbled upon the Miss Dior limited-time exhibition. Maybe because of the light rain, there was no one there, so it was very easy to participate in the event and get a sample of Miss Dior perfume. It is said that Dior gives out 1500 samples every day, so most people should be able to get one. However, the duration is a bit short, only two days.

Visit a Free Exhibition in Shanghai in August—Reverence for Time
Shanghai's Haipai art culture is one of the most influential schools in contemporary China. Over the past century, it has produced a large number of painters, sculptors, and writers.
This exhibition, Reverence for Time, allows you to be immersed and contemplate the meaning of time while viewing the artworks.
At this time, the sun blazes outside, but the interior is cool and serene. The nearly private viewing experience makes the exhibition even more enjoyable.
The exhibition is located in the Zhangyuan gallery on Maoming North Road. The space is not large, with two halls. You can make an on-site reservation to visit for free.
The exhibition features works by several Shanghai artists. The pieces are both restrained and highly individual, full of charm, and perfectly integrated with the space. It’s a wonderful experience and great for taking photos.
I hope Shanghai can have more such cultural and artistic displays and expressions. This is the true charm of Shanghai.

🗼In the heart of the bustling metropolis of Shanghai, lies a treasure where history and modernity intertwine—Zhang Garden. Walking through the garden feels like traveling through time, conversing with the glorious past.
Zhang Garden is not just a garden but a cultural hub. It was once an important center for cultural activities in Shanghai, where numerous cultural celebrities left their footprints and works. Today, Zhang Garden has become an important platform for art exhibitions and cultural exchanges, attracting artists and enthusiasts from around the world to visit.
📍Zhang Garden is located at Lane 188, North Maoming Road, Jing'an District, Shanghai, bordered by Shimen First Road to the east, Weihai Road to the south, North Maoming Road to the west, and Wujiang Road to the north.

Zhang Yuan
🐢 In terms of presenting the elegant heritage of Haipai culture, Zhang Yuan has always been unparalleled. At the same time, Turtle believes that Zhang Yuan's temperament belongs to a serene and textured woman. In the spring, Zhang Yuan, with its red daughter walls and carvings, and flowers everywhere, presents a graceful scene.
·
🐢 During the May Day holiday, I took Little Turtle past Zhang Yuan and suddenly heard a melodious song. As we walked closer, we saw that a garden party was taking place in the center of the block. Passersby stopped one after another, and the lazy and romantic atmosphere of jazz music touched the hearts of every passerby, subtly nourishing them with art.

Memories of Shikumen | Zhang Garden
Zhang Garden, after meticulous renovation of the Shikumen alleyways, has been revitalized and now stands as a hotspot for Shanghai-style flair in the city. In the square, the flower floats are colorful and create an interesting contrast with the ancient alleys. The cup-shaped advertisements from HEYTEA infuse this old area with a modern and fashionable vibe. Visitors stop in their tracks to capture this unique charm with their cameras. It is also one of the filming locations for the novel 'Blossoms'. Whether you're admiring the beauty of the architecture or savoring the rhythm of fashion, Zhang Garden offers a distinct experience. The Shikumen-style yellow wine ice cream is also a must-try.

Zhang Garden, which is everywhere with 'fafa', seems to be even more beautiful than before, and I also discovered the newly opened Birkenstock pop-up store. By registering on-site, you can visit the BIRKENSTOCK workshop experience area, 250th-anniversary exhibition area, footbed experience area, limited edition display area, and so on. After a full round of exploration, head straight into the retail area to shop till you drop!

👉 Fengsheng Li·Jing'an Temple Square
The sunken Jing'an Temple Square became famous due to the long queues for the opening of the Apple Retail Store (Jing'an Store) a few months ago. Now, not only is the Apple flagship store still very popular here, but there is also a pop-up store for % ARABICA coffee.
🚗 Address: No. 1699 West Nanjing Road, Jing'an District
👉 Jing'an Temple
When you're around, you must not forget to check in at the main Jing'an Temple! It is said to be the most expensive temple in Nanbo Wan, this over 1700-year-old luxurious Zen temple has expensive tickets, construction costs, and even more expensive land prices! However, if you want to capture the beautiful panoramic view of Jing'an Temple, of course, you have to go to the following location!
🚗 Address: No. 1686 West Nanjing Road, Jing'an District
👉 Huashan Road Overpass
This overpass near the intersection of West Yan'an Road and Huashan Road has long been a popular photo spot. As you walk onto the overpass, you'll be surprised to find that the splendid Jing'an Temple and the bustling street view are all in sight. At this moment, just keep snapping photos! If you're taking the subway, remember to exit from Exit 14 of Jing'an Temple Station. 📸

👉 Baozhu Gong·Old Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea (Crystal Shop)
I had my first taste of Baozhu Gong's pearl milk tea in Guangxi earlier this year, and I didn't expect to get the same taste so quickly in Shanghai. It's still that super delicious old brown sugar pearl milk tea, perfectly replicated in flavor, and the price has hardly increased. For a milk tea fortified with fresh milk, the price of 12 RMB per cup is simply too conscientious!
🚗 Address: LG1-14, Crystal Shopping Center, No. 68 Yuyuan Road, Jing'an District
👉 bb.q (Jing'an Flagship Store)
I've dug up another surprise new store! I didn't expect the fried chicken shop around Jing'an Temple to be just as good as the streets of Korea, with delicious fried chicken, stir-fried rice cakes, army stew, and kimchi pancakes. I heard that it's the only Korean-operated bb.q store in Shanghai currently. 🍗
🚗 Address: 1st Floor, No. 58 Yuyuan East Road, Jing'an District

The coffee shop that is just a wall away from Jing'an Temple is also a high-end brand under Nestlé. No wonder it's always full no matter when you go. ☕️

It's hard not to be captivated by such a Zhang Garden!
🌟 Highlights:
Zhang Garden was established in 1882 and once became the largest public event space for Shanghai citizens. After the founding of New China, Zhang Garden started the history of '72 tenants' with distinct architectural features. At that time, the concession divided 28 plots of land for foreign land lease, and 28 developers built according to their own needs and imagination, resulting in 28 styles, which were not monotonous, reflecting Shanghai's residential culture, Haipai culture, and architectural culture. The protective renovation of Zhang Garden is a deep and organic integration of the protection of excellent historical building clusters and urban renewal, allowing a classical and modern Zhang Garden to maintain continuous vitality and reappear before the world.
❤ Recommended Reason:
Zhang Garden was built in 1882 and was one of the three major gardens in Shanghai at that time, named alongside 'Xu Garden' and 'Yu Garden'. It was once the largest and most characteristic public activity place for citizens in Shanghai during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China. Zhang Garden once lit up Shanghai's first electric light, opened the first outdoor photography studio, staged the first play, and left the first bicycle tire marks... This place, which created many 'firsts' in Shanghai and even the whole country a hundred years ago, has always been known as the 'Number One Famous Garden on the Sea'.
