Visiting Devetashka Cave in Bulgaria was an incredible experience. Walk through the historic center I started at Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, then wandered toward St. George Rotunda and the Serdica Ancient Complex. Seeing Roman ruins tucked between modern buildings was one of my favorite surprises. 2. Slow down with Bulgarian food I spent an afternoon around Vitosha Boulevard, stopping at cafés and trying banitsa, shopska salad, and grilled meat. This is one of my favorite restaurants I visited in Plovdiv, Bulgaria🍽️ The interior features traditional Bulgarian decor, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. To start, I had Parlenka. It’s a flatbread made with butter and a traditional Bulgarian herb called Samardala. It was simple yet amazingly delicious🫶🏽 I paired it with a Bulgarian craft IPA, "Kukera," which had a pleasant bitterness and citrusy freshness, making it very easy to drink🍺 I also enjoyed some Bulgarian wine🍷 For the main course, I ordered the restaurant’s recommended Shevitsa signature meatballs and the duck leg Lyutika style. The meatballs were juicy and paired perfectly with potatoes seasoned with dill and garlic. The duck was incredibly tender, and the sweet and tangy flavor of the traditional Bulgarian vegetable sauce, "Lyutika," was absolutely exquisite🤤 The classic Bulgarian bean soup (Bob Chorba) and lentil soup (Leshta Chorba) had a mild, comforting flavor that made me feel right at home on my trip. Interesting architecture fact in Plovdiv: in order to save on taxes which is depending on ground floor area, people being people build their upper level wider to take advantage of the loophole. 8. As a result u get windows on the 2nd level so close to one another!

From Varna, to Nesebar, Burgas, to Sozopol, all the seaside cities are super-high, even cheaper! The ancient city of Veliko Tarnovo is a typical tourist and leisure area. There are various restaurants along the main street. Our chosen Shtastliveca is a Bulgarian chain restaurant. There are two restaurants in Veliko Tarnovo. The old town restaurants are ranked in well-known travel websites. the first. The restaurant is a European home style in the 1930s. It features Home made recipes, with a layer of Central and Eastern European cuisine on the first floor and Italian pizza on the second floor. The restaurant's terrace is facing the valley's U-bend, where you can enjoy the iconic view of the ancient city of Veliko Tarnovo. We ordered two drinks, Greek salad, mushroom calf tongue and charcoal grilled pork neck meat. The taste was good. The total consumption was 43 lev, equivalent to RMB 166, which is a cheap and good quality series.
