Last week, I went hiking with a friend on Limu Mountain, and we discovered an amazing hidden gem of a homestay! Xue Er Shan Fang (Homestay) is a renovated abandoned elementary school nestled amidst the lush greenery of Limu Mountain. The architecture retains the original school's structure, with rooms converted from former classrooms. Many details preserve the essence of the old schoolhouse, complemented by garden and landscape design. Stepping inside evokes a sense of tranquility. The homestay faces the main peak of Limu Mountain. During our stay, we woke up at 6:30 a.m. to watch the sunrise emerge from the misty mountain peaks. In the evening, the setting sun cast a golden glow on the main peak, creating a breathtaking view. Our room was a small suite with a balcony filled with fragrant osmanthus flowers. At night, we enjoyed a pot of homemade osmanthus wine with the homestay owner, sitting on the balcony under a starlit sky. This brief escape from the hustle and bustle of city life was truly therapeutic. We had all our meals at the homestay. The staff at Xue Er Shan Fang are excellent cooks, using locally sourced ingredients from the mountain. The food was delicious; I easily had two bowls of rice! Limu Mountain is far from the town, so there aren't many entertainment options. The hotel is located at No. 1 Bailongxi Road, Yinggen Town, Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County, Hainan. 💐Upon arrival at the hotel lobby, there were staff members who came forward to help with luggage and guide us through the check-in process. After checking in, there was a car to take us to our room, which was very convenient. 💐Entering the room, the lighting was very good, spacious and bright, with an independent bathroom and a large balcony, which also had a sofa and a small tea table. 🌞The balcony is my favorite area, with blue sky and green trees outside, an excellent view, and beautiful scenery. Hainan Qiongzhong Baihualing is a great place to cool off in summer Here you can enjoy the coolness brought by the tropical rainforest You can also visit Hainan’s natural waterfalls - It only takes 2 hours to drive from Haikou (recommendation: self-driving tour) After staying in Hainan for so many years, this is the first time I have come to Baihualing. This place is like a paradise 🈶Waterfall Tianqin Sacred Tree Tianchi In summer, the weather in Hainan is so hot, but the tropical rainforest is very cool, and it gets cooler as you go deeper. The contrast is too obvious. The air in the mountains has high levels of negative oxygen ions. - ☑️Baihualing Tropical Rainforest Here you can see the original appearance of the tropical rainforest and the rich plant resources. The thousand-year-old Tianqin ancient tree is so shocking. You can also hear the calls of various birds in the mountains and breathe the fresh air. Baihualing Scenic Area is located in Qiongzhong City, Hainan Province. We drove there from Ding'an, and it took less than 2 hours, which is very convenient. The ticket for the scenic area plus the sightseeing car package is 98 RMB per person, but you can also just buy the entrance ticket for 88 RMB per person. However, considering the full journey is 8 kilometers, it's not very cost-effective, so I suggest buying the package ticket. The sightseeing car is divided into an uphill circuit and a mountaintop circuit. As shown in picture 1, my route was to take the car from the entrance of the scenic area to Baipu Pavilion, then hike up the mountain. Along the way, you can enjoy the landscape, waterfalls, strange rocks, and distant views from the observation decks. After reaching the top, there is a Guanyin statue for blessing children, where you can pray, and then go to the Guanyin station to take the mountaintop circuit. There are supposed to be 4 stops in total, but since we went during the off-season and the glass walkway was under maintenance, we only stopped at the Wannian Divine Tree station, which basically meant the car took us around the top of the mountain, haha. Baihualing is a scenic area that combines mountains, waterfalls, strange rocks, and temples. Here, we not only appreciated the natural wonders created by the 'ghostly craftsmanship' of nature but also experienced the twists and turns of mountain roads, felt the scenery of the tropical rainforest, and enjoyed the fresh air. It was quite a rewarding day.
