#sandefjor
#sandefjord is a relatively small town in Norway. It is not a touristy place but there is an airport nearby and because of flight connection I decided to make a short hop to the town. Actually it was my first time in this northern country. I really enjoyed the shore and the views across. Also the architecture is interesting.

Spring in Sandefjord is more magical than I expected. This small, quiet and heartwarming seaside town in southern Norway hides its seasonal beauty in a simple yet charming way — cherry blossoms in full bloom in late April.
Just walking through the small streets lined with pink and white blossom trees, I felt like I had stepped into a scene from a European-Japanese romantic movie. The cherry blossoms here may not be as abundant as in Japan, but the feeling I felt was just as profound. It was a beautiful silence that gently penetrated my heart.
I walked through Badeparken, a park in the city center, where cherry blossoms were in full bloom alongside a green lawn. The sound of birds chirping and the cool breeze made every step meaningful. There were not many people around, and everyone was taking their time peacefully. Someone was reading a book under a tree, and children were playing in the warm sunlight. It was a simple and beautiful scene.
The cherry blossoms here represented a small hope after a long winter. They reminded us that no matter how cold or tired we were, life would eventually bloom again.
Going to see the cherry blossoms in Sandefjord is not just about visiting nature, but also about recharging the heart, taking a deep breath. Amidst the stillness, I fell in love with Norway more than I ever thought

Sandefjord, Norway, the whaling capital of the world
Sandefjord is the most populous municipality in Vestfjord Telemark County, Norway, south of the Oslo Fjord. The literal translation is "Sandefjord".
The city is also known as the "whaling capital of the world" and the "bathing city" because of its many beaches and resort spas.
Sandefjord has become a transportation hub, with Torp International Airport, one of Norway's largest airports, located here. Fjord Line and Color Line provide daily ferry services to Sweden from the city's port.
The center of the world's modern whaling industry is in Sandefjord, which is the main home port for whalers operating in the Southern Ocean. Not only do Sandefjord people make up almost all of the crews of the Norwegian whaling fleet, but a large number of Sandefjord people also work in the whaling industry in nearby countries.
The Gaukstad ship is a famous Viking ship symbol. This ship was found in Sandefjord in 1880 and is one of the best preserved Viking ships known. The whale symbolizes that Sandefjord is probably best known for its whaling community in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. #Overseas travel #Norway travel #Norway tourism #Norway scenery #Norwegian fjords #I miss Norway so much #fjords #sea #yacht
