Apparently, during the Edo period, it was a prosperous post town with many travelers, merchants, feudal lord processions, and shogunate officials passing through! Many travelers rarely include Naraijuku in their plans when planning their trips to Nagoya and surrounding attractions. In fact, Naraijuku is a small town located between Kiso Fukushima and Matsumoto Station. In ancient times, it was one of the "11 Kiso Road Posts" along the Nakasendo Road connecting Edo and Kyoto.
