we went on a tour to springbrook national park 🏞 the tour guide was very informative and provided a light picnic which was nice of some crisps, cakes and drinks. we had a total of 3 stops where you can go out and take some amazing pictures. definitely a must visit place #travelling #springbrook

We arrived too late, it was pitch black 🥲 The forest scenery at night can't be captured by a phone camera's aperture...you really need a professional camera 📷 My phone is an iPhone 15 Pro, even at 12/2.2, it couldn't capture the beauty 🤣 I gave up taking pictures 🤭 Let your eyes see and remember these beautiful scenes~ The walking trails in Springbrook National Park are actually quite simple, as shown in the information board at the official entrance in picture two 👍 The loop is about 1 kilometer 👀 There's free parking next to the entrance 🅿️ 👀On the day we went, we encountered police managing order at the entrance 💯 We heard they weren't using red flashlights 🔦 Using a bright white light will result in a ticket. ⚠️Directly shining bright light on glowworms will kill them.🥲 Interestingly, it's not just glowworms emitting light!🤭 There are also glowing mushrooms🍄🟫 right next to the trail. You have to look closely to see they're not glowworms‼️ They're glowing mushrooms!🤣 If you see a red glow in the distance of the forest‼️ 🦘 That's probably a kangaroo's eye looking in your direction.👀 On the way back, you'll see some cars🚌 parked in open areas by the roadside. The interior design gives a very European/ Mediterranean feel and attention to detail is clear. More pastries choice but the coffee was not very good. Amazing view from the cafe. I like the corner station to heat up my pastries. The waiter is friendlier than then waitress as she refused to help me to heat up and the waiter stepped in to help. Another excellent cafe by the sea with excellent views of the sea. The scenery/environment was really good with friendly staffs. The staff was super nice and I enjoyed the coffee and the food. One of the best places in Queensland for breakfast. The strawberry pie was pretty nice, the americano and hallabong tea weren’t too bland or strong, compliments well with the pie. We arrived at one of the most beautiful spots in Springbrook National Park—Purling Brook Falls. This is the location that looks powerful and impressive in photographs, with streams of water cascading down sheer cliffs. In reality, things were a little different—a good example of how seasonality greatly impacts our experience of nature. In January, the waterfall was almost completely dry. Technically, it's there, but we didn't see the usual "big waterfall." Instead of powerful streams, there was a thin stream, almost imperceptible in places. If you're coming here specifically for the waterfall, it's important to take this into account and plan your trip during the wetter season. The nature here is always beautiful, but the effect of the location can be completely different depending on the time of year. Yet the place itself is still impressive. The green-covered cliffs, the depth of the gorge, the surrounding forest—it all looks very grand and atmospheric. Even without water, the power of the landscape and its natural force are palpable. It's pleasant to simply stand and gaze here, breathing in the moist forest air and feeling how different this space is from the coast and cities. A special plus is the road. An excellent paved road leads to the waterfall, making it easy and comfortable to get to. This makes the location accessible even for those not up for challenging treks or long hikes. There are observation points offering beautiful views of the gorge, and you can stroll leisurely without venturing deep into the forest. Purling Brook Falls is a place that should be viewed not just as a waterfall, but as part of a larger natural park. It's not just the waterfall itself that's important here, but the overall sense of space, height, and the surrounding nature. But if you want to see the powerful flow of water, be sure to consider the season and rainfall. Less than an hour from the Gold Coast, this trail offers a delightful blend of waterfalls, rainforests, rainbows, and rivulets. Starting at the Tallanbana picnic area carpark, we descended through lush rainforest, passing under Rainbow and Goomoolahra Falls. The "Meeting of the Waters" creek junction provided a perfect lunch spot with sun-warmed rock slabs. We hiked counter-clockwise, ending with the spectacular views from Canyon Lookout. The return ascent, featuring welcome switchbacks, took us past four more waterfalls. The trail was mostly smooth, with some rough sections and slippery spots near waterfalls. The Warrie Circuit is a must-do for nature lovers seeking a scenic and rewarding hike.
