Ttosunine 또순이네
Here is soybean paste jjigae(=stew) with its original form and original taste.
Located in Yangpyeong-dong, Ttosunine(또순이네) is a Korean BBQ beef restaurant, but this soybean paste jjigae is more famous here.
When you visit this place for lunch, almost everyone is eating this soybean paste jjigae. Because this place only sells a single menu of soybean paste jjigae as a lunch menu. Once you enter the restaurant and sit down, they put burning charcoal on the table. Then, they put the soybean paste jjigae in a hot pot directly on top of this charcoal. In other words, on charcoal without any fire plate or wire mesh. How primitive is this form? How can this jjigae taste bad after seeing this? On top of soybean paste jjigae, which is boiling super hot on charcoal, there is a handful of shepherd's purse on top, which is also very primitive. It is said that people prefer to visit this place in winter because shepherd’s purse is a winter vegetable.
Some side dishes are served together, but you don't need them all, and you can have a happy meal with rice and this jjigae. Even the price is very cheap. It is characterized by the strong taste of traditional soybean paste, and the seasoning is salty as it continues to boil over hot heat. So, the combination of tofu, beef, and other ingredients in the jjigae and hot soup is super amazing when mixed in a rice bowl.
I was attracted to this taste, so I naturally bought a meal kit, which is a tough plastic bag with all the ingredients without soup in it, and I cooked it at home. However, the taste I ate at the restaurant was hard to reproduce. Is this the limit of the meal kit? I think I'll have to visit this place soon to enjoy this fantastic taste again.

Fault Burger 폴트버거
The Hyundai Seoul recently opened in Yeouido. In the past way, it should have been like Hyundai Department Store's Yeouido branch, but I think it's a bold attempt except for the title of ‘Department Store’. Of course, opening a huge offline shopping center at a time when the non-face-to-face era has arrived is definitely a huge attempt.
It was impressive to see the differentiated interior design reminiscent of a hotel and efficient arrangement of the movement for consumers as if there was no stuffy wall among the stores. There were many famous restaurants in this place, and it was fun to see various restaurants besides shopping. I visited Fault Burger(폴트버거) to have a meal on that day.
I’ve uploaded Fault Burger on my Instagram feed before, and the first restaurant is near Dosan Park. The second restaurant is also well-organized with a tennis concept as the main branding element. Since it was a department store, there would have been restrictions on the area, but I thought that the space was well decorated while maintaining its own brand concept.
I ate a menu sold only at this store called The Hyundai Double Burger, which contains two pieces of meat patties and cheese. The richness of meat and cheese was very attractive, and the onion glaze seemed to have made monotonous taste interesting. I recommend it to those who like the taste of American style strong burgers. Customers who order more than 50,000 won by 10th of March will be given socks with key colors of the Fault Burger as gifts, so HURRY UP! It's HOT in here!

I visited Cheongdam-dong Luxury Street, which I don't usually go to, because there was a new dining restaurant. Should I say it's a little casual to call it dining? Here is Clareau(클라로) in Cheongdam-dong, where was better because I could enjoy single menus what I want at lunch casually, not a course meal.
Located on the second floor of a fashion brand Blanc and Eclare, it is actually a restaurant made by a Korean famous celebrity named Jessica from Girls' Generation. This fashion brand on the first floor is also run by her, so I think she's interested in fashion and food in many areas.
The meal started with a starter, and you can choose the second menu, the main menu, and the dessert, and it was a pleasant experience that you can choose the menu according to your preference, not the designated course. On that day, I started with a salad made of seasonal veggies with thyme dressing and had a slightly smoked Korean beef Hanwoo tartar as a second dish and black truffle with raw pasta as the main dish, and finally had a coriander pavlova for dessert. Overall, the quality of the food was excellent. It was not a restaurant to promote only the fame of its owner. If you think it's a restaurant run by a celebrity and visit with a misconception, you'll be mistaken.
It is also equipped with a variety of wines, so there is a wide range of choices when pairing with food. I am confident that it is a well-balanced restaurant, including not only food but also the atmosphere and staff's friendly hospitality.

Minu c(미누씨), a distinctive restaurant that uses ingredients very properly. A neat-looking restaurant stands out in a quiet neighborhood. Minu c in Dogok-dong Gangnam-gu, named after Chef Min-woo Lee, is already a pretty famous hot place for food lovers.
The inside of the restaurant is not wide, but one side is made of open kitchen, and the table is set up efficiently.
It has the advantage of making food using seasonal ingredients, so I ate mainly seafood dishes that freshness is the key. Since the seasonal ingredients are used, the menu will be changed by season, so if you have a menu you want to eat, you'd better check it before visiting. The overall food I ordered was neatness itself. All of the menus, which say they do not use MSG or chemical condiments but preserve the original taste of the ingredients, were all attractive. Nanpo(난포), where the blue files are impressive on the outside of building, is also located in the semi-basement. It is a place with the theme of warm and friendly foods made by maternal grandmother for granddaughter In a small seaside town in Gyeongsang-do, Korea.
The interior of the restaurant is well decorated with the atmosphere of the house in the 70-80s. The interior feels brighter and warmer than I thought, so it is hard to think that it is located in the semi-basement.

As the weather got warmer, I craved buckwheat noodles and visited the traditional restaurant, Yurimmyeon(유림면#seoulrestaurant , located near City Hall Station. This 50 year old noodle restaurant selected for the Michelin Bighourmand for many years, it was also selected as the Seoul Future Heritage Awarded at Seoul's special Nopo(old restaurant).
The menu composition is very simple but substantial. There are only noodles prepared, but it is divided into buckwheat noodles and udon noodles / cold and hot / soup base and Bibim(paste mixing) base.
There is pickled radish, which is served as a basic side dish when ordered here. It is characterized by a rough, white color that feels like making it themselves.
The buckwheat noodles that I ordered are made and eaten like this. Boil the noodles well, wash them well with cold water, and put them on a plate. Then You can dip it in soy sauce base sauce. In this place, if you order buckwheat noodles, you can divide the noodles into two plates. In my case, the first plate is just dipped in soy sauce, and the other one is added with green onions and mustard sauce to enjoy a bit more spicy.
As the weather gets warmer, anyone who knows this food will crave it these days. If you have to pass near City Hall Station, please visit this place. Satisfied buckwheat noodles will be served.

I would like to introduce you to a very interesting restaurant today. The name of this place, which turns into a noodle restaurant during the day and a bar in the evening, is the Myunjubang(면주방) during the day and the Anjubang(안주방) at night. There are several restaurants that operate in this way, but as far as I know I don't think there are any places that operate by changing their names like this. From 11 am to 3 pm, it runs as a restaurant that sells noodle dishes and rice topped with rice. But I visited for another drink after dinner.
There is a table seat on one side of the restaurant, but there is a bar here, so I recommend you to sit at the bar. In my case, whenever I sit in a bar at a restaurant, I feel good for some reason. I drank a cocktail made of Korean distilled alcohol, Hwayo, and a highball, and ordered some small side dishes to accompany. Tapas-type foods on small plates were reasonable in price, and each of them had a unique taste and a well-decorated presentation was impressive. In particular, tofu with toppings full of spicy peppers, called Hell Tofu, in the main picture was the most impressive.
It seems to be a good place for a second round after dinner at Apgujeong. Moreover, there are various skewers, so I want to visit again to try them. Of course, I will visit the Myunjubang that is operated during the day soon.

It is Bicena(비채나), located at the Lotte World Tower Signiel in Jamsil Seoul, which makes you feel like you're eating in the sky. The restaurant is located on the 81st floor of the world's sixth tallest building and is a Michelin 1 star restaurant where you can enjoy the view of Seoul and eat at the same time. The day I visited was a serious day of fine dust, so unfortunately, I looked at the murky view of Seoul.
The food here is served as a course with modern presentations based on Korean food. The form of the food pursues modern style, but the dishes were like wonderful works reinterpreting traditional Korean pottery. In fact, it is a restaurant run by a ceramic brand called Gwangjuyo, where they produce pottery separately only for Bicena. It also runs a Korean distilled liquor brand called Hwayo, which seems to be working to promote the culture of Korean food worldwide as it is developing various businesses in the Korean dining culture. It seems great that they have this effort and vision to promote the identity of Korea's unique food culture to the world.
Today I'd like to talk about this vision that I thought throughout the dinner time on that day. What I felt during my years at work seems to be that it is really difficult for the leader's vision to be shared among all members of the organisation. What is more important than the vision itself for any organisation's innovation is sharing the vision. In the end, employees working on the field are the actual contact points with customers, and if this vision is not shared well, employees will lose their passion and seem to lose interest in the brand. The worst scenario is that they leave the brand. How can we share this vision with all employees in one mind? This is a very difficult process. It was a valuable dinner time in the sky where I had a lot of thoughts.
