A Palace in a Lake, India 🇮🇳
#wecreate
Jal Mahal also known as Water Palace is located in Jaipur City, India. What is unique about this place is, it stands in the middle of a lake and most of it is submerged in the water. Actually 3 floors are in the water.
Ssdly, we couldn't cross the lake to go to the palace. So, we just settled by the lake and looked at the beaty of the palace frok afar.
Be aware that there will be a lot of tourists esepcialy in areas that offer a great backdrop of the palace so you need to wait for your turn.
This is just a quick stop so no need to stay here for a long time.
Enjoy your Jaipur trip.

Must Visit Red Fort, Old Delhi India 🇮🇳
It was a great and awesome experience seeing the main residence of thr Mughal Emperors. It is really a recommended place to visit when you are in Delhi and it cannot be missed. The architrcture of the Red Ford is just beyond imagination.
It is a massive place and it might take you 3-4 hours to walk around and see everything.
Ticket prices for Indians and foreigners are different. As foreigners we paid 500 Indian Rupees. They also have different prices during weekends.
‼️Tips‼️
1. If you can buy the tickets a day in advance then it will really help you maximize your time on the day of your actual visit.
2. Bring something to drink because there is no place to buy drinks inside.

Colourful Kolkata in India
Kolkata, formerly Calcutta, is the capital city of West Bengal state. It is the former capital of British India. Nowadays it is one of India’s largest cities and one of its major ports.
I stayed in Kolkata for 7 days, mainly for street photography and Indian food.
🌇 Why I recommend Kolkata?
• Street life is very interesting and many buildings are from colonial times, it creates a special vibe
•Street food or West India is just delicious, you have to try it
•Indian Cinema: Kolkata has many old cinemas with a great cinematic atmosphere
📆 I recommend to stay for 4 to 7 days.

An Evening in Bangalore
Bangalore in India is a very interesting city, that I visited for three days. It's the biggest city in South India and a hub for tech industry. But on the other hand, it's a very 'normal' Indian metropolis with street food, street life and friendly locals.
I really enjoyed to stroll the street at night with my camera. 📸 So many nice motives, so many random encounters, really feels to be alive. 🌃
📍 Bangalore has a quite big airport and many train stations. Inside the city, taxis and TukTuks are a great option for transportation.

Stroll trough India's Varanasi
Varanasi is a metropolis in Northern India and famous for the Ganges river and important Hindu temples. Many religious Hindi come here at least once in their life to bath inside Ganges. The town is very beautiful and good for some street photography.
Street vendors, people on bikes, street life, handcraft sellers, the life on the street is so busy and people are friendly to you.
📍 Varanasi has an international airport and several train stations. I recommend the plane, it's fast and easy.
ℹ️ It's a religious city, everyone should wear proper clothes...

Aarti Ceremony in India's Varanasi
My last trip abroad took me to India and I visited Varanasi in North-India. At the Ganges river, there is the Hindi Aarti Ceremony every evening.
An aarti is a fire ritual, performed to show gratitude to the river and ask for its blessings. It involves the chanting, bells, fire, flowers, and more. Every evening around sunset, hundreds of people gather at Ganges to join the ceremony.
📍 Dasaswamedh Ghat, Varanasi
⏰ The ceremony would start by 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the evening and takes place for around 45 minutes.
🎟️ It's a normal cultural activity, so it's free. Please respect local traditions and religion.

TheTravelingSuitcase (@thetravelingsuitcasee) Candolim Beach 🏖, Goa, India
Getting There - It is one of the most famous beaches in north Goa. You can get there by cab/taxi, scooter/bike, etc.
Attractions - There are different water sports available at the beach including (but not limited to) parasailing, jet-skiing, banana boat, etc.
But my favourite part was to relax on the beach sun loungers, have a foot massage (available on the spot) and gorge on some delicious chicken kebab and beer.
The night time was even better to end the day with a romantic dinner by the beach.
Hotels - We stayed at Novotel Goa Resort & Spa which was a 10-minute walk from the beach. There are plenty of luxurious and budget hotel options available near the beach.
Food & Restaurants - Lunch was better in the beach restaurants compared to dinner. Have a good variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.

With different natural habitats🌾 in existence, there exists or thrives differeent animals suiting the local conditions. There are only two Mangrove type forests available in India; one in Bengal and another down in the South near to Chennai. Sunderbans National park in Bengal is home for this ferocious animal which is world famously known as Bengal tiger 🐯. Although over the years, their numbers have decreased because of various reasons like himan-animal conflict and climate changes. These big cats 🐈⬛ are making a comeback with combined efforts from the government🏛️ and environmentalists; which is a great sign to preserve the national animal of India. There were safaris when I visited, which was super fun and thrilled. Definitely a go to place in the North east of India. #indiatravel

Majestic Creatures
The king of the jungle 🦁 is not like any other cat that as even though they are comparatively smaller than their cat family brotherhood tigers 🐯; they are tryly brave and courageous that make them as THE animal of the forest. The first visit of lions, happened to me in Gir national park situated at Gujarat province. The reasons for their presence in that specific place is because fo the natural habitat🌾 and also lions don't migrate often. So lions that were once there, keep protecting their territory and stayed in there. These predators go to the top of the food chain, and no direct threat to them. It was such a sight to behold 🤩 when it was roaring and walking around. #indiatravel

Lavish Life !!
Mughal's reign in India was considered as one of the lavish living lifestyle of the kings 👑. Like present day top shot celebrities 🎩, these kings have imported the best from west to middle east to africa to Russia to India. If you want to have a glimpse of what it feels like, then you've to visit Chowmahalla palace 💒 in Hyderabad. Situated just around the corner from Charminar, this palace name also means "Four palaces", from the Urdu word. Going by the name, it has four mahals 🕌 (palaces) Aftab mahal, Mahtab mahal, Tahniyat mahal and Afzal mahal. Aftab is the main one and it's huge. Spread over 45 acres of land, this palace totally take a day to hike 🥾 around and see some beautiful gardens🏵️🪴. The expensive things from the era of the kings are kept in the first floor of Aftab mahal, where it depends on the security present you can either take picture 📸 or not 😛. There were also some swans in the pond nearby. Never miss to read the inscriptions there, to get more details about the palace. #indiatravel #palace

Aguada
In this land of cultural heritage, holding the history of not only India 🕍 but from around the world like Portugal🎪, Britain⛪ and many other Latin countries; here we see an important port built by Portuguese. Aguada fort dating back to 16th century is situated in North Goa near to Candolim beach. The word 'Aguada' means freshwater in portuguese; as because there's a freshwater spring inside this fort which served as a replenishing spot for all the passing by portuguese ships🚢. There was a time, when this was the largest freshwater storage in Asia. Even today, this place is famous for movie shootings; as it provides a fantastic view of Arabian sea from the top of the hill. There's also a series of prison🏯 cells in the underground and an ammunitiion storage place to visit. You can take a bike to ride 🚲 to there. #goadiaries #indiatravel

Shepherd's hill - Part 2
Here we come to the part of Why Golconda (Shepherd's hill) fort got its name ! Well, there is a shepherd guy who on his everyday shepherding routing found an idol at the top of this hill and went back to Mauri Rao (then emperor) that it was divine. Later Mauri built this fort as an act of protection, also to pray for the wellness of his people. If you explore enough this fort, there are some secret passages and burrows built for escaping king 🤴 and his family. Even over the history, when the great Aurangzeb led a siege of this fort the last king stayed there escaped through one of these tunnel. Even these tunnels had so much designs in it, with a bit of sunshine and air to provide the lifeline if they choose to hide in it. Definitely an artisitic gem 💎 #indiatravel #hyderabad

Shepherd's hill - part 1
It is quite interesting to find archaeological🗿 sites amidst the bustling cities and how they represent the sole history of the city. Situated around 9 kms from the downtown of the Hyderabad city, Golconda fort was once the capital of Qutb Shahi kingdom. At the entrance, there is a dome from where if you stand at the center of it and clap 👏 your hands it will reverberate to the top hill sending a warning signal of any impending danger ⚠️. Hiking 🥾around this fort takes almost a day for you and you have to be well hydrated considering the temperature of the city. The inner fort has lot of old remains of mosques 🕌, forts, and old statues. They have sufficient basic facilities inside this preserved historical center. Follow my next post why this is called Shepherd's hill 😉 #hyderabad #indiatravel #forthike

Amalgamation of forts
The name of this fort came from the word 'Gutti' which means Gowthamapuri, a nearby 🌆. Dating back to 7th century BC, this fort is actually a group of forts 🏯 including 15 small forts in there with all the facilities included. They got places to store all the grains, keep prisoners and a little pond structure from which the king will have his daily usage water. The pond 🏞️ is so preserved that someone won't dare to poison it. In case of siege moment, it has got all the emergency things to save the lives of important personnel in the kingdom. It is quite an imagination how they're so prepared for whatever comes ahead. The granary 🌾is a must visit, as it has got a nice technique to put all the rices from the top and retrieve back from the bottom. You'll have fun hiking 🥾 and exploring this fort and totally deserves your day. #forthike #indiatravel

Twisty turns
What started as a normal fun bike and hiking 🥾 trip, ended up as immersive ourselves in the 94 turns of the mountain 🏞️ . With a group of friends on a Saturday morning, we decided to do a bike 🏍️ trip to top of the Kolli hills. It has some sharp hairpin bends of the hills of Western ghats; so you have to be a skillful rider🛴 to go the top of it. After reaching the top, we parked our bikes at a known hotel and then went over for hiking in the hills; and got some amazing views of the bends laid out there in the road. Don't forget to get the 印度奶茶 (milk tea) ☕️ there, it is so pleasant to drink that in that perfect weather. #indiatravel #tamilnadu

The First Yogi
This place is already recognized by Guinness world 🌍 book of records as the largest Shiva statue in the world. Shiva, a hindu deity whose purpose is to keep the balance of the universe by being the destroyer of all evil sorts. He's also considered as the originator of Yoga 🧘♀️ and so, many people from around the world come over here to pay a visit. The statue is 112 feet of height symbolising the 112 ways to attain freedom in your after life which they call as Moksha. Situated at Azhimala, this place can be reached quite easily by bus 🚎 from Coimbatore city. You can do a bit of hiking 🥾 in the nearby mountain 🏞️. Also this is totally non-religious, so everyone is open to come and get mesmerized 🤩. Maybe you can do some crazy yoga pose and post it here 😂 #spiritual #indiatravel

Symbol of atonement
According to ancient mythology, this temple 🛕 is built by Pandavas (a family name) after their great war fought against Gauravs. If you had read into Indian history Mahabharata is inevitable and the story by itself can make a better thriller than Game of Thrones 👑. Built in the 8th century, this temple is one of the oldest one still standing strong. Situated at the foothills of himalaya this provides a perfect magnanimity and a devotion towards Shiva (a Hindu God). For ages, it is believed that Himalayas 🏔️ is his home and everyone makes a holy hiking 🥾 journey towards this deity. Totally immaculate in its own way, this place should definitely should be in your bucket list if you're traveling to India. You can reach here from the Rishikesh railway station 🚉 or by bus to Gaurikund. #indiatravel #temples

Ancestor visit
On the continued quest🤠 in the western ghats, it has led us to explore some deserted trails to find more of our ancestors. This family of monkeys 🐒 specific mostly to Western ghats has been living around here for thousands of years. They do live as a community and always look out for their family. We get a chance to feed some of them, although we gave only natural fruits 🍌 and 🌽 vegetables. Once you reach the top of the Nandi hills, there's a small temple based on Vishnu (India's money god) where you can send your prayers to heaven. If you keep hiking 🥾 a little bit more, there comes the view point of the whole city; making it feel like everything happening around is quite small. Such an enlightenment.😇 #indiatravel #hiking

Sky Falls Hike
An interesting thing I heard during my childhood about the Kolli hills is, it is a haunted mountain and a safe haven for many unsatisfied spirits😈. Ofcourse, those were rumours and probably some stupid stories 😛. Situated in Namakkal district of Tamilnadu, India; you can reach here by train 🚂 journey of 3 hours from Chennai. Then it is recommended to take a local taxi to the hiking point of this amazing water falls. The name of the falls is Agaya Gangai (literally falling from sky). Even on the way to this place there were lot of small falls, serving as a refreshing sight🥸. We hiked down for 1 hour to reach the falls, then had some nice play in the falls and then later hiked 🥾 up for 2 hours (as we're tired haha). I would say, this has moderate difficulty and anyone can do it !! #indiatravel #waterfall

Fort Hike
Mountains have always served great purpose in every sense to humans, especially as a protective cover. Gooty fort ⛩️has been perfectly constructed by a Mughal king, to cover the city. The mountain is horse-shoe🧲 shaped that only the entrance has an opening. They've taken this to their advantage to build a complete wall 🧱 over the edges of the ⛰ mountain, so adversaries can't invade in any other direction. We started 🥾 hiking from the foothills to the top of the fort up to the king's view. From the top, it exactly reflects how it is a clear advantage. It took nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the top. Also no shops or anything in there, so you better have some snacks prepared for yourself 🥸 Also a good camera 📸 to click some nice pictures haha #forthike #indiatravel
